@Bossman: what makes you think it will fare so low? Those numbers match Lootera more! 😆 I agree, the film has competition but I remember a couple of yrs back Bodyguard released and it was huge, a week later Mere Brother Ki Dulhan released, and that fared well. As far as Ranveer is concerned, I doubt this film's failure will hurt him in anyway. He has great projects lined up, and fans are able to associate with him.

SUPER HIT MUSIC. Dhunki, Isq Risk, Title song, Madhubala all were chartbusters
Was a YRF product. More reliable and known brand.
Bodyguard didn't exactly have as good WOM as Krrish 3
A Rom- Com/Masala with happy ending
Katrina Kaif's starpower. Much larger than DP

If Lootera's budget was 32cr then how can Ram-leela be 35cr only?

Opening Day - 18 cr

Weekend - 55-60 cr

Lifetime - 120-140 cr

Verdict - Super Hit

Ram Leela's overall budget is probably close to 50-60 cr at least. DP has had a great run at the box office this yr, so I'd say that at this point , her star power is as good as Katrina's. Have not the songs of RL been received positively? I know Nagada Sang Dhol, Laal Ishq, Lahu Muh etc. are doing well; plus the film looks very "Indian"...people like the pairing, are interested in the product. SLB association IMO helps the film because people are comparing RL to HDDCS (not his recent flops) which was successful. RL is only at a disadvantage when it comes to competition because of GTPM (which I'm almost sure will do well) and K3.

HDDCS had just made enough for success. It wasn't a big hit. Just a Semi hit. They had expected more coz of controversial Jodi, hit music and Salman at his peak (delivering 2 other biggest hit of the year).

SLB films are always unpredictable

My hahah was for that 35cr news. It's 50cr + for sure. I mean if something like Lootera was 32cr. Then how much would be for 20 times more costly and larger sets. And a huge starcast, background dancers, action scenes, PC's item number, costumes... so many thing that it makes it look like a very high budget film

^^^ I had read that figure about the budget but yes logically 35Cr is too low & anyways my prediction capacity is non-existent😆 So let's wait & watch...
