I am no one to compare legends but i was pointing out ur questions ... Kishore was a natural talent i agree but his singing was limited ..he was a great playback voice but u cant deny facts he wasn't able to sing classical raga based songs ...

IS SONU NIGAM better than Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. I challenge Sonu Nigam to sing his one hard composition - i would regard him my guru till the end. its easy to say your's the one is best and better than the other...but it doesn't become a fact.

Nusrat fateh ali khan was a genre in himself till date no one have been there like him not even rahat ...even Rafi sahab and kishore kumar wont be able to sing a Nusrat fateh ali khan song dat was a differnt leuge altogether :P even though Sonu Nigam have worked with Nusrat fateh ali khan sahab have sang for him in his composition u can chk Ek din kahin hum do mele aur teesra koi na ho ...but u were constantly wanted to proof kishore kumar ahead of every one ... despite of knowing the fact dat he have no classical base ...SPB also have picked Sonu Nigam as one of the best singer :D so u cant deny his singing capabilities in comparsion with INDIAN SINGERS

yes i heard that song, which he sang. for nusrat sahab but anyone can see he doesn't even come close...comparison is another thing.

Sonu nigam might be trained in classical singing, but how many albums did he dedicate to classical...jaan, chanda ki dholi mein, all his albums featured contemporary singing...

also he doesn't feature in indian classical singers too..

dude he is a playback singer by profession so how can he be in list of classical :D even mana dey and rafi sahab arent there :D ...but they have a strong classical base which make them better den most of normal playback ...so what :P can Kishore Kumar would be able to sing classical near to what Sonu Nigam can and did in Classicaly Mild Album...a big no ...Sonu have sang a ghazal of Maestro Mehdi hasan sahab on Raag Bhankar "Khule jo ankh toh woh tha na woh zamana tha " and mehdi hasan is known as Ustadoon ke ustaad no one can sing ghazals low notes better den him and its the most difficult raag not many can sing dat and he had did justice to it ... Aviod comparison please u are still making on comparisons to proof yourself correct :D

anyways i heard it...and even saw the comments there...everyone said its a GOOD TRY...good try doesn't mean he becomes better. even if you beat the drum again and again the voice shall not give the desired effect. sonu nigam can't be compared to any great singers..not even kishore...ask himself he will hide his face. he did once and he himself says he is not match to rafi and kishore...so what does it matter if his fans keep saying so...it doesn't become a reality

:P i bet kishore couldn't have sang this ghazal as good as sonu does because it had Classical Murkiyaan harqatein ...and no doubt Mehdi hasan is the master of Ghazals ...one can not sing better den him ...) but u always try to show kishore kumar Superior ...u are his fan i have no issue with it for u he may be ...but as listener i have good ears and can understand who is who and what is what :P and i am entitlte to my opnion and its based on facts dat kishore kumar can not sing classical ghazals or semi classical songs :D though he have his own space but u r comparing poeple who have learned calssical with an untrained singer :D u are entitle to ur own opinion :) :) mana day has also gr8 classical base he once said Sonu Nigam dat u are born in wrong era u should have been born in our era so dat i have given u healthy competition ...but at the end u have ur own judgement (which actually arent based on facts) :P😛 for being gr8 doesn't mean u have to born in 1960 :D its always the singing capabilities which shows who is great :) :) end of discussion 😊😊
