It's not salman. its genre...and MASALA genre. and salman doesn't owns this..if it is seen as copying, then salman too is coping. amitabh bachhan is the ultimate star of masala movies, then does it means he' copying him? and most of the actors have done masala genre...what's new in salman?
sholay is still a masterpiece in masala genre, and no matter what it is much ahead than CE, dabang, bodyguard everything. so masala genre is def. not exclusive by salman, or for salman.

This is the one genre I dislike the most. As it is I avoided all of Salman's movies. I wouldn't say they are trying to be like Salman Khan because none of them are. I do agree though that recently a lot of movies are masala genre.

More than the actor it is the writers and directors that are going for this genre.

Wasn't Ghajni the masala trend starter?
Salman was going through a tough phase with disasters like Veer, Yuvraj etc! And suddenly, masala genre, mainly south remjakes brought him back in the game !
Masala is the only genre that has minimum risk involved ! So yeah, every actor who is finding a way to make it to the top, follows what Salman did to redefine his career !

Ghajini? A masala film ? How?...I mean the movie had strong performances and a strong story line. I don't consider that a masala film.

For me, masala films are those "typical" stories that don't necessarily have anything new to offer and require little to no-effort in execution. Like Dabang, Ready, Rowdy Rathore, etc... There is no way Ghajini can be put in the same category as these movies.

ppl r following salman when comes to copying southern flicks .. otherwise masala films were always a hot genere for Akki and even salman..

SRK was d one who was dependent on his love sagas, Aamir never had a particular genere for himself and tried many different generes and so did Hrithik..

SRK, suddenly jumped from superhero to romantic hero to masala hero.. too much to digest ..🤣 .. but not bad, he knew he wud succeed eventhough Ra1 nd JTHJ r still considered low performers.
