Yeh Meri Life Hai's plain Jane Pooja (Shama Sikander) is trying very hard to shed her behenji image. Sadly, her attempts look really desperate. At an event two days ago, Sikander came dressed in a traditional salwar-kameez, with a completely transparent salwar. It ended up showing off more than just her slender legs and thighs. When the actress realised that the shutterbugs had taken quite a fancy, she quickly grabbed a shawl to hide the faux pas. Aakhir image ka sawaal hai, bhai! Aww baby!
But for Sunaina Roshan (Hrithik's older sister), she's already received her best gift. And no, they are none of the above-mentioned things. Says Sunaina, "Duggu has given me the most adorable nephew in Hrehaan! The only thing I tell Duggu is to stop calling me didi, but he loves to call me that so I pamper him a lot." We wish there were more brother-sister jodis like Hrithik and Sunaina — untouched by success and happy with the simple things that life has to offer. Bobby's salad days
Bobs survived on salads for the most part of the shooting there. "But how much salad can you eat too?" he drawls. "There was Indian food, but there's nothing like ghar ka khana for me." There are lots of casinos in Jo'burg, so we're sure Bobs spent some time there. "No, I don't gamble, nor am I tempted to!" Okay then! So it was all about eating salads and hitting the sack for the staid actor. After the Jo'burg stint, Bobby didn't have too much time to rest, as he had to start shooting for Yash Raj's Jhoom Barabar right away. Shankar, Adnan bhai bhai!
Last heard, he was a strict diet, but these pictures tell a different story. At the rate he's going, he'll soon be giving Adnan Sami a run for his money. And don't you blame it on the music and the long hours in the recording studios, tubby! Star-studded night
Witness the culmination of the week long celebration today, as Ananya and Nikhil exchange their wedding wows. It was a star-studded evening, with high profile celebrities like Aroona Irani, Sachin Sharma, Manav Gohil, Shivaji Satam, Urvashi Dholakia, Gagan Arya, Sudeepa Singh, Iqbal Khan, Neha Bam and Deepa Parab shared the happy moments in Nikhil and Ananya's life. Women's Day in August?
But it seems Sony has woken up a tad late in the day. They just had a concert called Kudiyan Bemisal — Celebration of Womanhood, which will be aired later this month on the channel. No harm in doing such events, but why during Independence Day week? And no, don't give us that spiel about women's emancipation, honeys! Shhhh…..!
But we needn't worry, as Achint Kaur has replaced her now. Mona was slated to play Nikhila, the powerful and wealthy matriarch of a business family. Says a source in Balaji, "Mona was upset that Balaji had referred to her baby in the story. She doesn't want anybody to talk about the fact that she has a child or her personal life. After keeping the Balaji unit of 175 people waiting in Kolkata for three days, she finally decided that she wouldn't do the serial." As they say, one woman's loss is another one's gain.
