I agree. They were so refreshing as a pair. The main reason why I loved them offscreen was because they were so real. They didn't act a certain way to sell their movie/pair or anything of that sort. They dealt with each other's personalities..Ranveer understood that Sonakshi wasn't going to be all lovey dovey with him and he kind of restrained himself from trying too hard (though at times he couldn't help it lol)..and then Sonakshi just dealt with his shenanigans.. even though you could see her rolling her eyes every now and then. lol.. I remember watching this one interview where Sonakshi randomly, and genuinely praised Ranveer and Ranveer was SOOO happy because Sonakshi really meant it and he knew that. Usually you see costars praising each other in the usual way..she's so this, he's sooo that and whatnot ..you just don't see that honesty in their responses and reactions..(at least I don't).
Truthfully though..as much as I liked him and Deepika in RL's trailer..I'm not too sure about how I'll feel about seeing these two promote Ram Leela. Deepika's the kind of actress who'd do anything to promote her film..and we've already seen that happen. Ranveer will be tempted to do whatever he has to do in return..hence, it'll just seem..fake?
Gosh I know, we just end up essentially repeating ourselves in these convos like fan girls (Which I feel we are!). 😆 There are so many Ranveer - Sonakshi instances that have come off as being so, simple, genuine, and poignant - straight from the heart. What I really appreciate about Sonakshi is that she's a very straightforward person, you can just tell that right from the way she interacts with her fans, her co stars, and even the reporters. Sometimes too much frankness can come off as arrogance, but she draws the line very well. I promise I have seen all of Ranveer - Sonakshi's interviews and for the first time, two young and talented actors spoke more about their work than anything else. For them, Lootera was their priority, everything else was secondary. Ranveer and Sonakshi are like yin - yang. 😆 It's only with Sonakshi that I've noticed Ranveer is calm, composed, and collected. Otherwise I am sure we both know how he can be so theatrical on other occasions. It was a treat to watch Ranveer's calmer, simpler side. I'd like to credit Sonakshi when it's due, she's really, really genuine (or just a great actor!), even with her other co stars be it Akshay or Salman, she does not go overboard and that's refreshing. Her best appearances have been on reality shows with Ranveer...the two just have so much fun together on such shows.
@RamLeela: you know more than anything else, I am just excited for the movie. I am not sure if I will consciously invest my time during its promotions. 😆😆 We both have a general sense of how it may end up like...so just because I want my excitement for the movie to be maintained, I am going to alienate myself from the gimmicks as much as I can.
