the price some of dem pay is their sanity.esp d ones who live alone and have no filmy back ground.short lived career,too much pressure to look beautiful,stressful life,fickle relationships wid no time for anyone...i really dnt think its worth it after a few years...anushka looks like one of those who crumbled under pressure..but then she is just 20 something..how much can she be blamed...and d sad part is she is a gud actress..hopefully one day talent starts ruling over just physical beauty in bwood...

Yep I agree with both of you ,I think BW is not for people who take outhers opinion to the heart and keep their morals to close to them,I mean yeah I believe its one dirty place,even if you are an actress and looking good is part of the package yes a must package but sometimes looking good, its everything.I mean I would like to watch a pretty face emoting than very pretty face not emoting anything but thats just me maybe.I think its too big a price to be here.

Yeah the current gen of journos are the meanest I guess in BW!! Sri & Madz were not the fittest of gals but I have not read articles mentioning their weight. Yesterday I saw a program on Zoom where they made fun of Sona's weight! One journo even asked her abt it & she was sweet enough to say that she is happy the way she is! But it's not long before it starts getting to you!!

I think it's easier for guys as they really don't care too much about these sort of things. I wish Anu was really brash as she appears to be & avoided any surgeries! But the current line of thought is that everybody does it, why not me as well.

^ Sonakshi's been taunted about her weight ever since Dabangg it's nothing new and also I admire her for the way she handles it, she jokes it off or sweetly taunts the person back (again you should see the way she answers the jerkass in the Kapil episode). But yeah there's only so much a person can handle of that. One thing I loved about Ranveer was the way he always stood up for her whenever she was asked about her weight. Unlike some other superstar who couldn't even bother defending his girlfriend who was getting slammed by the media front right left and center

The big difference is that Sonakshi is from a Bollywood family and despite being criticized an insanely gross amount for how she looks, the amount of professional work she's gotten has never suffered and has always been in good stock. Because of connections, she has security and a net to fall back on...she did and will keep on getting movies that cater to a certain part of the audience. Anushka on the other hand is marginalized because even though she was only 'subliminally' criticized about her looks, she lost out on movies or didn't get them in comparison to her contemporaries because makers reinforced that she was not 'stunning' enough a draw to compete with the other girls. She didn't get the awards...she didn't get work for a long time...she was and is in competition for roles that others end up landing because they are better looking or better connected.

The only person I can think of that has really stood their ground against this type of criticism is Vidya and that's something to be appreciated, especially after the way she was under fire and in a bad place a couple of years ago. Even she is now well-connected by marriage however and has a security net, which is good in my opinion. Anything that helps retain your identity and security intact in a business like Bollywood is worth keeping in order to balance out the price.

^ I agree with you on that! Anushka has the disadvantage of staring from scratch since her debut film didn't get her the buzz that Deepika got from OSO and neither is she a star kid who can get offers quickly.

But whatever the case I do hope she has a good 2014 hopefully she finds a good man and has a flourishing career because she is a good actress (I just don't like her being typecasted into the loud bubbly girl)

As for his love life, its sad that him and Anushka fell apart. Post-Ranveer, Anushka is spiraling downward into some well - looks, self-confidence, self-esteem , intelligence - all has become WTBeep. Its good that her parents and brother are living with her. The girl needs help and her current personality is screaming for it.

Sonakshi is a thorough brat and ruled by her father. Deepika has a very very unstable love bar. And with due respect to the fandoms and my own liking for Sonakshi and Deepika as actresses, i have to say that Ranveer is actually too good for them. The day he also becomes all fake , starry and above the love that means you can converse even when you are 80, then, he can go for anyone.

P.S- Aditya Chopra is a cross between Sid M and Brad Pitt? Or does he hallucinate himself to be something like that?😕

I've seen many interviews of Sonakshi and brat is possibly the last thing that crossed my mind when judging her. She seems like someone who wouldn't ever do anything to create a bad name for her parents. She already has said that she wants to refrain herself from doing explicit scenes onscreen..she's reserved with her comments, she dresses differently, speaks differently and interacts differently but that does not make her a brat...whether or not one agrees what with the way she carries herself is something else altogether..but she certainly does not seem like a brat.

There's something about him that I love! I don't know why though.

And sorry girls. DP & he are very much on & he's absolutely besotted by her!! She used to throw tantrums on th sets of Ram Leela & he used to be forever locked in her vanity van. 😛

He drives down to her shoot locations with her favourite food, chocolates sea food anything!

He will get hurt? Sigh yes I believe so too. DP isn't serious about him. He is about her. Mad about her.
