I've had a very similar experience with someone I met online. Someone who faked so many things about their identity including getting into fake car accidents, having a dying parent, claiming to be single (while really being a 30+ married guy). People are wackjobs online!

I don't know why the virtual world brings out such weirdos but it's shameful to do things like this. Cancer is a horrible disease and I've seen family members going through it. It is so cheap and shameless to use that just for some fun and sympathy. Sick!

That's really sad and weird. maybe its a way to crave attention and get back in the game, at the start these members have a zest new way of talking about things but slowly it becomes boring...So in the virtual world, the equivalent to having a "wardrobe malfunction" or botox is to pretend your sick or dead...twisted, i just don't get it...

Secondly, Gaurav I've lost few people who are close to me due to this illness so I really hope you are not using this as a joke?! I'm sorry if I'm being mean but I just do not enjoy people mocking serious things like this illness or death :(

If you're really joking and making a mockery out of cancer then shame on you. My 3 year old nephew has leukemia and it's painful to see what he has to go through every month and how he's trying to survive this. We're all still having a hard time to deal with his cancer so really if you're joking about it and making a mockery out of it then just stop it.
