"Chennai Express" smashed several box office records and now in 2nd week film is chasing some real big all elusive records of worldwide gross and domestic nett of "3 Idiots".


Film has crossed 89 cr in overseas market in 10 days thus crossing figure of SRK''s earlier release JTHJ and now it looks film will cross 100 cr by end of 2nd week in next 4 days. Film should at least collect 107-110 cr lifetime there and if film gets extended run or release then records of MNIK & "3 Idiots" will be in danger.


Back home, film collected big 25 cr nett plus in 2nd weekend and today film started rather slowly at box office. Film improved by evening with 30-35% occupancy and managed to score well in certain territories i.e. south, central and west India.


As per early estimates, film should collect 3.90 - 4.10 cr nett today which means film has collected 30 cr nett in 2nd week. Figure might vary 10% depending on late night shows. Film has total of 186.03 after 11 days which is huge and now film is poised to score big tomorrow on holiday, minimum 6-7 cr nett on the cards.
