Forget Pakhi, I can't imagine Deepika reprising even the typical fun, bubbly, Punjabi Bollywood girl. Sonakshi definitely by miles has an advantage when it comes to being in front of the camera, it simply loves her which makes her job so much more easier. Ranveer even praised Sonakshi for being completely raw and spontaneous as soon as the director says "Action". Deepika's "acting" is very methodical, planned..so it's that much harder for the audience to instantly connect with her. Sonakshi is so convincing, be it her blink and miss roles or be it her in Lootera.

I've always maintained that any actor that can play with his or her voice is a winner. Deepika, Sonam, Alia, Shraddha etc are all monotone in that category.

Deepika might. she was good in cocktail and YJYD

BUT lootera required an old fashioned avatar and mannerisms.

deepika...ummm...isnt there yet.

too modern. but she might in future.

sonakshi fitted paakhi like a glove. looks wise.

figure wise. voice wise, dialogue delivery.

Sonakshi's acting was absolutely fabulous..but the role didn't do her any favors..

I watched it first day first show and I was upset and I hoped I was wrong..so I didn't write a review(I only posted ,how much I loved Sonakshi).

But after a month,I can say that apart from the deserving praise here👍🏼..The industry just moved on..The film should have been a BBB,JWM,Cocktail for her and she should have been the toast of Bollywood.I have never written so much about a film as I did for Lootera(before I watched)..I have never watched a film before the second week..This was my only exception..

Motwane failed her ..He made some very basic mistakes with her role..He should have made her character Pakhi,lovable and memorable..and given her some luminous qualities
