Will it be Ankita for SRK in Farah Khan's film?

Sources say five girls were shortlisted for Shah Rukh Khan's film, to be directed by Farah Khan. TV actress Jennifer Winget was also one of them.

However, the character is on the lines of Mohini from Tezaab and has to be familiar with Maharashtrian lingo. Last heard, Ankita Lokhande, a good dancer and also a Marathi mulgi, is also one of the contenders. Farah is currently in Dubai for a recce of the film that goes on floors in September.

I'm surprised none of the top actresses wants to be part of this film despite SRK being in it. I think it's time SRK comes to his senses and rejects this film!

It is going to be quicker than we thought. Finally, the makers of 'Happy New Year' are ready to unveil their heroine and it will happen in days from now. The decision has been pending for over six months and it will be the outcome of extensive screen tests, both for newcomers and experienced actresses.

"Now that Farah is through with the auditions, she has left for Dubai for a tech recee. Though locations were finalised a year ago, her core technical team comprising the DOP and art director, among others, have joined her," our source confirms. "She will be back in a couple of days and meet Shah Rukh immediately on her return. By July 20, they will be revealing the name of the leading lady ."

We caught Farah just before she was about to board her flight to Dubai. While she confirmed the developments, she also added, "I hope there won't be any new names thrown in over next 10 days as my film's heroine. I have been surprised enough by those who are not even connected to the film. Let me come back and make the formal announcement. It could be sooner than you think."

Yes Farah, we are waiting.

the film seems like a flop from the title itself. shahrukh is taking a big risk working with farah again.
