Who's Hot Who's Not: IIFA Rocks 2013

The much-awaited weekend of the year is finally here! IIFA 2013 has kick started and as tradition dictates day 2 saw the celebration of the finest minds in Indian music and fashion at the IIFA Rocks. Personally I think it commendable that IIFA opts to ditch the traditional red carpet and rolls out its green one every year but of course we're here to judge all that was featured on the carpet rather than it itself. Favouring Naeem Khan once again immediately after an appearance in the same designer at Chennai Express music launch for Deepika. The hybrid pants/skirt and studded crop top could have only been pulled off by Deepika. Sadly I can't say the same about the makeup which just makes the look a whee bit too dark for me.

Verdict: Deepika is hot, her makeup is not!

One to always favour Dia's style I found myself unpleasantly surprised with this look. The Rocky S dress would have faired better perhaps at another event but for this one left Dia looking a bit under-dressed. The show choice and the plain-jane styling didn't help either.

Verdict: Dia Mirza is not hot!

Never to miss a prominent red carpet event, Evelyn Sharma, also was spotted at the event. The Wendell Rodricks gown doesn't work perhaps because of the boring design or the color. Considering Ms Sharma is one to give us really interesting looks on the red carpet, this one came as a major disappointment.

Verdict: Evelyn Sharma is not hot

Seems like we have a string of stunning ladies disappointing us at this event. Gauhar Khan joins the list. The design of the Narendra Kumar gown works but the colors just don't. Add to the loud colors was a very dramatic hair do and striking red lips leaving the whole thing feeling a bit tacky. Mr Kumar is a huge fan of dipping necklines and mostly actresses have gone the whole 9 yards when endorsing his gowns and skipped on the sheer covering, wish Gauhar had done so also. But for now between the sheer lining, hair and makeup there is no silver lining for this look.

Verdict: Gauhar Khan is not hot!

Vishwaroopam actress Pooja Kumar went for a one shoulder wrap bodycon. I honestly can't be the only one who sees no hope in this look? Safe to say the Miss India USA 1995 is in serious need for a new stylist.

Verdict: Pooja is Not hot.

Huma Qureshi continues to strive to find her style but seems to pick the most unsuitable of attires for her body type. Not only does the Sonam and Paras Modi gown look uber overwhelming one her, the hair do does nothing for her either. Hard to say if the dark lips would have compliemented the same combination of colors but with another outfit.

FINALLY! It surely got a bit depressing with all the disappointing looks thus far but Jacqueline is here to save the day! Looking stunning in a Dolce Gabbana dress. She works the short hemline well without making her appearance look underdressed for an event of this level. What caught my eye for the Nitya Arora cuffs that she spotted on both hands. Definitely no issues whatsoever with this one.

Verdict: Jacqueline is VERY HOT!

Young Ms Kapoor is becoming quite a regular name in fashion columns across the board so no doubt we weren't about to miss out on her look at this event. We're loving the off shoulder cream net gown on Jhanvi. What definitely is not working however are the peep toes. Also any one else thing hair down would have complimented the delicate-princess look that the attire seems execute?
Verdict: Jhanvi is quite hot!

More appropriately dressed for a wedding was Madhuri on the night in a Manish Malhotra lehenga. Do we really have to go into the usual spiel about our favourite dancing diva seems to be stuck in the era that she left Bollywood when it comes to her fashion sense? She surprised us with some great appearances on her TV reality show but sadly didn't bring her A game to IIFA weekend.

Verdict: Madhuri is not hot

Deepika usually dresses nicely but here..black dress looks horrible on top of that why match her lipstick to her dress? 😳

This Jhanvi has got such a butter face

I love love love Madhuri's outfit. She looks gorgeous! Love the colors!
