Is Akshay playing as the returning Shoaib Khan's (Emraan) role from the first? Why wasn't Emraan casted on the sequel?

Yea Akshay is playing the role of Shoaib that was played by Hashmi in OUATIM.

They didn't take Emraan because the producers felt they wanted an actor who looked mature as the story goes forward 20 years in the sequel.

Ah I see, I still think its a bit silly, they could have made Emraan look older somehow, I mean he was the star if the first movie..

^lol yea I find the reason to be a BS excuse for Ekta to get a bigger star as she doubts Emraan's BO potential.

Honestly would have preferred it with Emraan back Aswell as Akshay, why cast Imran? Urgh.

The movie doesn't excite me at all...especially after watching Imran's song taiyab ali. For some reason, the total starcast seems misfit for this movie.
