Deepika and I hope to be like Nargis & Raj Kapoor

And about six decades later, for grandson Ranbir, it is only Deepika. They may have split as lovers, but Ranbir feels Deepika is the only actress with whom he can have a legendary pairing, and just like Raj Kapoor ' Nargis, their unique chemistry can go a long way to make it the most successful romantic pair onscreen.

"I want to do more films with Deepika because I also need to find that one co-star who is equally hardworking and passionate. Deepika and I have a good chemistry like the legendary pairs Raj Kapoor-Nargis and Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha," says Ranbir.

But he immediately adds, "I don't want to sound pompous, we may or may not be able to achieve that, but Deepika and I have a great working relationship because we are so comfortable with each other. Secondly, we are somewhere in the same place in our career as we started around the same time. We would want people to associate our pairing in a very nice way."
