It is 2013 now! He's about to complete 6 years!

Barfi crossing 100 crore despite its genre and non holiday release date was a great achievement.

But please! He is NOT worth mentioning in same breath as Khans, Kumar, Roshan and Devgan.

Look at first 6 years of those guys and look at first 6 years of this one! There is a world difference in terms of box office success and variety of roles!

What versatility is Ranbir showing? Raajneeti and Barfi are only examples IMO. All other roles are of a urban yuppie lover boy!

For how long will his PR keep peddling him as a "challenger"?

Sorry! He has not even done a Hrithik yet! First let a Ranbir film outgross every film of that year and then we'll talk of taking him as a serious threat to other superstars.

The truth is that Kapoors have not had a successful male actor in Bollywood since Rishi this is why they peddle Ranbir so that he can revive their legacy. Only last year onwards he started giving hits on his own (Raajneeti is his hit? No way! APKGK & all were peddled by Katrina power!). He was only giving media hyped "successes" earlier. Being media friendly and a Kapoor he keeps getting awards but that means nothing.

He is only ahead of Imran, Abhishek, Vivek, Shahid, Ranveer, Arjun types.

He is not yet the first choice of big filmmakers. They are still turning to Khans, Kumar, HR, Ajay for their films first.

I challenge Ranbir Kapoor to act alongside an older star and overshadow him the way SRK ate Sunny Deol in Darr!

He did not have balls to act beside Aamir in Peekay and refused giving excuse that he does not want to play roles in two hero films.

Baat karte hain superstar ki!

He may take over in future because he has age by his side as an advantage. Otherwise abhi Dilli door hai saahab!

He does not have a massive fanbase. He is mostly liked by urban people, women and perhaps a section of kids who are growing up now but he is still not the first choice of paying public or even second! They all predict he will have a good future. He's still yuvraj and no way close to being maharaj!

Even Hrithik in his first 4 years had twice given the highest grossing film of the year (KNPH and KMG). Whereas this man's films have started making it to top 10 or top 5 now.

I will not compare with initial years of Khans because that will put his fans and PR to shame. Salman's first film as main lead was ATBB. SRK gave 2 super hits in 1993 (one solo hero film as main lead, another two hero film) and gave ATBB in 1995 (fourth year of career). Aamir did not have great record as other two Khans but he did manage a yearly top grosser in form of Dil and QSQT was a solo superhit too. When Aamir acted with the top heroine of that time he at least managed the year's biggest hit in Dil. Whereas Ranbir has not achieved this feat despite working twice with the biggest heroine of these times Katrina Kaif!

It's not about comparing 25 years. Pehle 6 saal le lo. Atte daal ka bhaav pata lag jayega.

To overhyped... He is good actor, greatest from young generations but ahead of Khans... Pagal ho gaye ho kya bhai -_-

This article should have been written after 20 yrs IMO and i think ranveer singh has some huge charisma and also his upcoming projects are looking promising ! If any1 who can give ranbir a run for his money is this guy ! Watch out for lootera,ramleela and i am sure he would destroy arjun in gunday !

YH RIGHT! 🤪taran stop sucking upto ranbir! 🤢 did the kapoors pay u to compare him with the khans !! they r poles apart from this overrated overacting piece of a kapoor !👎🏼

Also when the khans debuted they already beat their seniors ! Salman's MPK alone beat all the masala movies of the 80s ! Aamir's QSQT was a huge grosser too and SRK stole the show from rishi in deewana ! Not only that salman made his mark in saajan amidst of veterans like sanjay dutt and madhuri dixit ! SRK overshadowed sunny in darr ! Ranbir has yet to deliever a top grosser of the yr forget beating the khans or any kumar/roshan !
