But seriously, someone who hasnt overcome a single career struggle on their own merit doesnt deserve the same respect as the other actors who struggled to carve their own niche and make their own name. Even with connections, everyone has some connections. But not everyone has a father who presents you roles on a platter.

Hrithik was never given anything in a platter by his dad . He was a normal ad before coming into
Movies and RR has always given him challenges whether a double role in knph , a Rohit in Kmg or a superhero . If it was simple as fathers making their sons successes , jacky bhagnani and shahid kapoor would be megastars . Don't over simplify things or pull someone down coz of ignorance or jealousy

Hrithik has made his name by overcoming his hurdles and consistently giving performances in quality films which impresses critics and fans of all ages and genders .

THIS! This here, what you spell out as "challenging roles" = Opportunity.

A film like Kaminey, super challenging role, once catapulted Shahid into the top bracket.

A film like Omkara got Saif noticed --> Challenging role.

These so called "Challenging roles" are what other actors clamor for, audition for, have to build up an image for. They are what people call roles of a lifetime or roles that define careers.

You pretty much proved my point. Actors are on the hunt for these roles. A super hero film that glorifies your image, challenging roles that catch attention.

Hrithik never had to struggle to be cast for the...coz his father presented em to him.

No I don't agree . Hrithik has given as much to his father as he did to him .
Stars do not audition for roles for crying out loud , they r picked by producers or have roles written for them if they r good enough .eg Akbar was written with Hrithik in mind ... That is the norm.

They may not audition, but they have to work up to create an image to be considered.

At a career low, you have to really work hard to work up to a point where a maker has enough conviction to cast you in these kinds of roles. HR never had to do that.

Like I said, his father had all these safety nets laid out so his son never had to struggle.

Take Kareena for example. She struggled for years with flops till one maker noticed her and cast her in a role that he felt she would suit. Film Jab We Met. Her family didnt give her that. Imtiaz, someone completely unrelated, felt that Kareena based on her previous work had something that would do justice to his film, and that's called struggle. Even if it is through flop films.

Saif is an even bigger example. Did side roles for years till he slowly got noticed and built up enough of an image till one maker decided to cast him in a solo lead and from then on has been going up.

He also didnt have his family make films for him.

Saif does not have the talent of a Hrithik Roshan . He doesn't have the voice, the physicality , the acting capability , the looks , the dancing ability or the talent that Hrithik does .
Saif has been noticed in all of one film in his entire career : Hrithik has been in every film of his for the last ten yrs . Saif gone up ? He hasn't gone up anywhere thus every solo hero film or shall I say most of his films have failed .
And kareena : somehow her talent and acting ability has regressed !!

used to like him like a decade ago...not anymore...

he gives me such a "pretentious jerk" kinda vibe...all those cheesy philosophical tweets/speeches he gives (tht one abt everyone being extraordinary or something when someone asked him on twitter if he would be a star if it wasnt for nepotism), the way he kept handing cheques to participants in reality shows, his interviews which practically put me to sleep, the fact tht he cant crack a joke without looking like an idiot...just so blah and pretentious...be urself dude...u dunt need to act all mahaan to be likable

Agneepath bailed hrithik out when he was going through a low phase and as far as I remember that was not made by Rakesh Roshan! Hrithik is a big star! and I really don't care if he is bashed! It will do nothing to his stardom! He will always remain a huge star and an amazing actor!!

Only Kareena fans bash HR here. Maybe because they feel he has punctured her chances with some big movies she could have done with him. And what sort of flimsy reason for hating him because his veins pop out? Veins of lots of people pop out...its natural. Ground reality is that apart from the 3 Khans, Akki, Ajay...HR has is the only one with a huge fan base. His main problem is overconfidence wrt to his looks, acting, dancing and very poor PR.
