Seeing the promos, theres nothing new to offer for, looks the same old but nonetheless, im totally excited for this movie mainly coz of Ranbir AHH can hardly wait man...and balam pichkari made me all the more excited, he looked SO CUTE and RK-DP has a great chemistry.

its a romcom...it cannot really look "new and different"...

as long as its entertaining, i dunt really care much for the fact tht it isnt pathbreaking...

story wise it luks like another bachna-e-haseeno, with znmd type locations, kjo type songs, barjatya type friends-marriage thing going on...even the title of the movie luks out of place... but still the songs are catchy and both are looking good, so ya not a bad choice...after all what is original in BW?

there has been a lot of hype about Ranbir and Deepika doing a film after their break up..the worst part is they seem to be cashing in on their off screen relationship, onscreen..DP has no qualms narrating the dialogue to Ranbir..mujhe pyaar hua hain tumse..phir se!!😕 From what I feel this movie is just been mad for the heck of it..to get Ranbir, DP back together onscreen after their break up, and to generate curiosity among the viewers!! Hope Im completely wrong about this and there is more to the movie and lives up to the hype!!

Well, it is really as obvious as the day is long that Deepika is still harboring a flame as big as the Sacred fire of Vesta for Ranbir.
Otherwise, after behaving like a woman demented following her break-up why would she agree to do the movie in the first place? I don't think any other heroine who had such a dramatic and public break-down would have agreed to do the movie. And.. that last dialogue in the promo is so cheap, undignified and emotionally manipulative under the given circumstances.
What's more - even Ayan seems to have problems with using that dialogue as a promotional bit in his latest interview with TOI.

It just needs to be an entertaining film, why are does it have to be path-breaking cinema? The cast had said they tried to make a good love story so that is what I am hoping for.

You're right, it doesn't look that fresh..looks very similar to BAH meets a bunch of other films.

But, its a rom com. Rom coms hardly ever look fresh and new, especially a Karan Johar one. They're promoting it like an entertaining, easy-breezy, fun film with songs and dances...like SOTy was. I think there's a lot of hype for this one and I highly doubt it will flop. Plus, we see a young, compatible couple on screen after a while in a hyped film.
