Well... I think Ready worked because it is a comedy of errors and most people including me like comedy errors. The fact that Salman was in it was icing on the cake for people that like him. As for Bodyguard, woh toh khuda hi jaane.😆

Many BIG Movies released on 5-9 days Holiday Weekend with good music, they can't even cross 120 cr.

I have no clue how to answer your question😆 I don't really understand the dynamics of bollywood and Indian audience to understand why a particular movie works or falters. The only reason that I can think of is Sallu's star power perhaps? People love seeing him onscreen. He can sleepwalk through a movie yet the audience will still throng to the theaters to a catch a glimpse of him😆 I don't know. I gave up trying to understand people's choices long time ago =]

1.Salman and his star power.
2.Music.Both the movies had good music.
3.Action and Comedy.People tend to favor these kind of movies.
4.Holidays.
5.Strong promotions.
