I totally get it in KKHH - I wanted Aman to get the girl but then that would defeat the point of the whole movie. But I know volia 8 years later she has long hair and looks like a girl 😲, I love her! 🤢 No dude - just cause you got the hot girl and she has gone, do you remember you had another friend who was a girl? 😡

rahul falls for anjali coz uis ka pallu thoda saraak jaata hai..

disgusting.. it was not even sweet it was a blaaa scene..

Sorry I had to comment on the KKHH comment first just because that has annoyed me for the longest time, how could Anjali pick Rahul when Aman was just such a sweetheart.

But now to the actual HDDCS discussion - I don't like SLB movies - Devdas never a big fan of the story, black I got bored, guzaarish 5 minutes was enough for me to consider euthanasia, the only movie I have ever liked is Saawariya and that is cause it reminds me of west end musicals 😆... So HDDCS I think I have seen twice once when I was eight/ nine when it came out (I am sure I feel asleep watching it) and then once when I was 15.

I am glad she chose Vanraj because he was selfless and he let her choose what she wanted not many people would do that, I know people say that she had to pick Vanraj cause of Indian values and all but what Indian husband would let his wife go? I mean most of them would make sure she stayed trapped in an unhappy life with him and go out and do whatever he wanted. He never thought about his self respect and dignity - Maybe the message in the movie was that men need to be more like Vanraj and see that a wife is not an object to keep in the house - instead a story about a girl trying to get her lost love back - it all depends on perspective?

Also another point Vanraj might have been taken by her beauty and not really know the sort of girl he was marrying but all he wanted to do was she her happiness and he did that for her. I have to say the music in this movie is just perfect it emotes the feelings so well - with first love in Chand Chupa, to Tadap Tadap for all the heart break to HDDCS - was perfect for all three characters.

Sameer - I think he loved her and never got the chance to show he was a worthwhile guy for her, he couldn't hurt her father who gave him so much but also I don't think at the time Nandini was saying run away with me, he wouldn't have been able to bear her responsibilities and I think he was realistic enough to see life as it is because he had nothing but a dream, no money or anything how long would Nandini and him have lasted. First love is hard to forget because it will always have that pull but it doesn't mean it is your only love and I think people that don't realise that never get experience the beauty of what life can actually offer because there could be someone there that loves you and because you are all caught up in a past you forget your present and future

Sameer is one of my alltime favorite character. And i feel his love for nandini was not any less
selfless than vanraj's love, he proved that twice. First, he left her because of her family and later he let her go because she wanted to. Although i'm not totally against the ending, i believe it was the most impactful scene. But, how i wish nandini would've atleast waited till his performance :( It just breaks my heart when he goes like, " i dont want to sing anymore, i dont want this fame'. He lost his passion for music along with nandani and that was the most sad part. For music he went all the way to india, but once he realized he lost nandini.. he didnt wanted to continue that.
On the other hand, what i like the most about vanraj was that he truly let her go. It wasn't only just a claim by him, he let her go in every possible sense. SLB was no doubt at his best with HDDCS characterization's. I just can't blame any of three for whatever events took place in their lives, it was pure destiny (and partially cos of nandini's father lol)
At last, i'm sure sameer would've waited for nandini all his life<3
Oh! and one more thing lol i would never categorize sameer as immature, irresponsible brat :| He was carefree guy- YES, he was full of life- YES!. But he was never ever immature or irresponsible. He had a sense of responsiblity toward nandini's father, he respected their family values. Then how come does that make him immature and irresponsible? 😕

well I can't get into why I feel so strongly in support of what she did/whom she choose in the end right now cos I'm getting ready to go to work but I will say that I absolutely feel/believe that she made the right decision in the end for sure 100000000000%%%%%%%%% without a doubt.
