They do a lot of things to make likes of Rajini and Kamal look young in their films. So if the same make up, special effects and other technology is used to make Amitabh look young (say 30-40ish) and he plays hero like he used to, then will his film work? Will it get accepted?

You asked "what is anyone's problem", I felt same. But if I were to answer this question, I'd say age seems visible no matter how much they try to make the person look young, plus I get tired of the actor trying to do similar heroic roles which I've seen him doing for 2 decades. And even if I love an actor, after a certain age I'd expect him to be different even in his offscreen image, and explore different side to him as an actor (than merely trying to pass off as former self or prove he still has same appeal). When I say age-appropriate I mean different, new, complex and challenging stuff than merely playing dad roles. I don't know about others, but as a viewer I like to see actors show us something we've never seen before from them...or blow us away doing something which we never expected they could do. Amitabh's role in Paa is one fine example.

The Salman Khan Phenomenon will never dies.

He will work with Aaradya Bachchan, Nysa Devgn, and Samara Kapur in love story like he did with their moms

Will do buddy comedy with Aarav Bhatiya, Yug Devgn, Junaid Khan, like with their dads.

Don't mind but I do find your responses kind of hyper at times, just like the one you gave me in this topic. Your post came across like you were kind of lashing out...I maybe wrong but that's how it seemed to me.

Thats just the way i write...but i am sorry if u felt that way...I will be more careful while replying to u in future...

@blue-ice

Oh it's okay. It's not an issue. 😊 Even I'll keep in mind about your style of writing in future (now that you clarified) and will refrain from imagining that you got hyper. I'm also guilty of making an assumption about your post. Sorry.

Do you think that just because we know an actor's real age...we are not able to accept him as a younger person in the movie because his real age is always in the back of our minds??
I am sure u know about the Disney series Hannah Montana...My daughter used to watch it and so sometimes I used to watch it with her...Now Hannah's older brother played the role of a High school teenager...So one day my daughter asks me...Mommy do u know how old he is ?? He is 30 years old...My jaw dropped...from that day onwards he always looked older to me...I just couldn't accept him as a High school kid...so I don't know...maybe our mind plays this trick on us too sometimes...

but looking at the current trend down the south, 50+ actors arent exactly going strong...someone like Mahesh babu, or charan or Surya command better openings...the trend is definately changing...ppl do not want to see 50+ or 60+ actors play "youngsters" even in the south...rajnikanth is the only exception to tht because his popularity and mass hysteria is unmatched and unexplainable...even Kamal hassan films seem to be losing their market (Viswaroopam, the film itself isnt generating much interest despite good reviews)...

but apart from him, none of the 50+ brigade is doing well playing "youth"...in both tamil and telugu atleast...Arjun, sarat kumar and Venkatesh are starting to play character roles to get some success (Kadal and SVSC)...the rest like chiranjeevi(left films for politics), nagarjuna (has had like 5 flops in a row or something), Balakrishna(not even a single hit apart from SImha in the last 10 years), Venkatesh (all recent films were duds except SVSC which had mahesh babu in it and he was playing a character role)...none of them are actually doing well...they r just, there...ppl dunt really wanna see them playing 30 somethings...

Kamal Hassan has always acted as 30 + person in the last decade...and I cannot remember his last movie where he danced and romanced and all those stuff...even in his slapstick comedies..he always played a 30+ man...or married man...

Rajni is different...he is fun..and he can do anything !!!

What other south heroes are in their 50s? All are in their late 30's or early 40's...and they all look early 30's...

all 50 + heroes barring Kamal and Rajni have faded away...Nagarjuna is still there...but he still looks good ...venkatesh is becoming second fiddle lately...Ravi Teja is going down very fast...
