desi folks r extremely despo

last august I was coming home from an outing so I took the subway it wasn't even late like around 1 am or so and my friends live the other way so we separated at the station and I took my subway
amd there were a bunch of people in there no one actually bothered to even look at me but there was this indian/pakistani guy, he was sitting right in front of me and kept staring at me the entire time literally, he was scary looking too

I thought he'd follow me or something when I get out, so i called my dad and told him to pick me up at the station.
it was just after this conversation that he left.

My mom always tells me to be aware of desi men and to not trust cuz they are as worse and most times even worse than the 'goras' 😆

True. And there are cases where they don't even spare their own daughters. Recently in a slum area, this woman beat up her husband dragging him into the street coz after she refused to have sex with him, he went and tried it with the daughter. She beat him up black and blue and then handed him to the police. Kudos to her!

I agree somewhat that in a country like India wearing super skimpy clothes is only going to garner you unwanted attention. I see it everyday...teenage girls dressed in spaghetti tops and skimpy shorts and men...mostly plumbers, electricians, guards in the housing complex staring at them lustily with their jaw hitting the floor. Makes me sick. I wanna run and cover up these girls or kick those bas***ds staring like hungry dogs. But then...like someone said...women in ghoonghat are not spared...so it's the mindset. That idea that this is easy prey...let me attack.

what the f**king hell does this so called western influence means...no where is it 'cool' to be a bloody rapist man!!!
And hell a person with a pathetic mentality of a rapist would not change if a girl is in salwar or a skirt!!!

Its very convenient to put the blame on "western culture" isnt it? But western culture doesnt teach lack of respect, nor does it imply RAPE. If an Indian celebrity emulates "Western culture" by wearing short clothes, going to high society parties that means " pop icon" and if its an normal indian girl, it inevitably results in rape? give me a f**king break.

This is exactly the sort of mindset that needs to change. No one reason leads to rape except the dick of the man!

PS: I bet those assholes who constitute 26% are the first ones to watch anything and everything "western" right from Friends to XYZ movie and eating Big Macs 🤢

The biggest problem is how boys are raised in India. Everyone from their parents and teachers and society teaches them that they are the best and they can do anything they want. Girls are considered inferior than them and it manifests at even the smallest levels. A daughter will be expected to cook and clean and serve dinner to her father and brother while the men of the house are not expected to do anything for anyone. It's their right to be served on. Women are there for their convenience.

When a couple gets married, one of the first questions is if the girl can cook. She can be a doctor or an engineer or a lawyer but she better know how to cook and serve her husband and his parents. Like W*F? It's like they're bringing home a maid.

I can understand Lack of respect and gap in Law enforcement. I mean most of the ppl know that they can escape the law if they have money in India.

Rape can also be attributed to the fact that Men are losing their control over women. Indian women have always been suppressed by men but now are more independent. Rape is a way to gain dominance by inflicting terror and pain, rather than lust. A violent assault just to humiliate and strip the women of her self-respect, a way to make her feel like a lesser being.

If western influences is considered as a reason for rape,How does it explain the rape on Burkha clad Muslims. Islamic countries are not devoid of rapes.

Its about time that the blame for the Barbaric act be put on the mental insanity of the perpetrator rather than the victim.

wow! those 26% who said rape is influenced by the west have lost their minds. No where in the west is rape/harassment seen as okay. Women are respected in the west unlike in india where a raped woman is told to take back her case because it will be a stigma on her family🤢 as if she has to be ashamed that she was a victim of a sicko!!😡
