Kick was offered to salman and sonakshi first when shirish kunder was doing the movie.

Then when shirish kunder got out then they changed the script and nadiwala is now directing. He kicked sonakshi out because people are sick of her cameos in movies, her career is going no where and she does same stuff in movies. They then offered it to deepika let's see if she is doing it or not.

The movie that isn't in Sonakshi's kitty anymore is none other than Kick. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, it stars Salman Khan in the lead. The film, the producer felt, would recreate the 100 crore plus magic that the pair has been creating thus far. And hence Sonakshi was finalised for the Telugu film remake, which would mark Sajid's debut as a director.

However, after Sonakshi hiked her fee after Dabangg 2, it was time to replace her. She thought the numbers that the film brought in made her more exclusive, according to Times of India.

"While Sajid knows she has become a big star, he felt Sonakshi didn't really play such an important part in the success of Dabangg 2. So he's said to have refused to give her an increment above the committed feel," said a source. And hence Sonakshi lost the film.

Apparently, Deepika Padukone has been approached as a new lead, even though her remuneration is higher than that of Sonakshi. "Sajid felt that if he had to pay more to the heroine, then he might as well cast a bigger actress. And since Deepika hasn't done any film with Salman, this jodi gives the movie an extra fresh touch with such a novel casting."

Can you actually listen to majority here?

Kick was never offered to Sonakshi. Warda Nadiawala mentioned on twitter that no actress have been offered the role so far besides, 1 is being offered and that is Deepika, which she mentioned in her interview with Faridoon
