I like Ranbir as an actor (extremely versatile) but nah! Samar wouldn't be him. He'd probably act alright but acting and living the role are two different things. He's too cutesy IMO.
Portraying pain (Like in Rockstar) is very different from an embittered, arrogant, unforgiving uniformed man.

The problem in this film is not the role or the performance but the script so if you put anyone in this film the quality will ba the same and the script will be wak not for the general ideo i will say noo because at the army role you need amature man not cool lover boy like ranbir most films

SRK did a fantastic job, and he was probably the only excellent aspect of that movie. I wasn't too fond of the plot, Anuska and Katrina did well but not extremely well.

Yash and SRK combo is great even if the story sucks

Exactly. He may have looked old with Kat, but they needed a broody older guy for the parts with Anu. If Yashji/Aditya made Samar's character in the flashback in his 30s instead of 25, the whole dilemma would be fixed. SRK looking older would fit the role. And yeah, I didn't buy Kat being 21 either. 😆

Yeah I was thinking they should have said Kat was 25 and SRK was 32 or something and then do an 8 year later gap, not 10. Maybe they chose her to be 21 so 10 years later she's not in her mid 30s which bollywood considers old 😆

Prolly would have thought so before seeing the movie but now its all SRK!<3 Tehheee maybe in the younger portions Ranbir would have done good though I'd still prefer Shahrukh, but in the army avatar Shahrukh takes the cake! He makes such a hot officer!
