SRK has got good reviews and JTHJ is doing extremely well.

lol we'll see I am sure JTHJ will emerge as a bigger hit!! In comparison to the worldwide business of JTHJ, SOS is a wash out!

The rest of the film could have been about her trying to denounce her feeling for Samar because how could she fall for a man like SRK after she'd made a wicked prayer like that which killed her own father?

At least it would be a REAL reason that a girl raised in London in this day and age might offer for her reasoning, and it might take the movie out of the realm of sheer "let's look at pretty people and insult the rest whom we don't consider pretty" pettiness.

And since they tend to make SRK's films with a nod to the sensibilities to the overseas audience they really should be aware that we don't much like such cruel and self-destructive thinking.

Can you image if this was an English/American film - there would be such an uproar. But us Indians are a strange lot - we are racists towards our own kind!!

I doubt it. The problem with JTHJ isn't SRK (from what I've read so far) its the W*F script, the direction and everything in between. Even with Ranbir, I'm sure the script couldn't be saved.

Sigh. Kat was just cold, no warmth whatsoever. I'm willing to forget the stupid plot line, if only they got the casting right. SRK would have been acceptable as a 25/28 year old in the first half had this film been made 10-12 years back. A SRK/Madhuri/Preity combo would have worked back then. There needed to be an age gap between the two female leads, but that didn't come across as both Kat and Anu are from the same generation. Otherwise SRK/Kajol/Anu would have also worked. SRK could have been shown to be in his early to mid 30s. No one can do romance like SRK - not even RK.
