Agent Vinod, Ek tha Tiger, Rowdy Rathore, Agneepath, Cocktail and SOTY WERE NOT marketed as THE epic love sagas in decades! Mausam and JTHJ were. That IS the difference.

I was on this forum around the time Mausam released. All the articles that came out daily before it released talked about how Mausam is some epic love saga. All of this made people assume that it was Casablanca, Titanic et.al and not some lame romance.

Same with JTHJ. The first promo itself was very highly pretentious. It had clips from all of YC's epic romances Lamhe, Chandni, Silsila etc. Lamhe, Silsila are still remembered to this day because they were different for their times and hence the epic love saga tag can be attached to them. But the same cannot be said for JTHJ. It hasn't wowed critics yet...not when I made this topic anyway. So my point is why raise people's expectations for your film so high when you know its no epic shit?

Let me reiterate again,

Agent Vinod, Ek tha Tiger, Rowdy Rathore, Agneepath, Cocktail and SOTY WERE NOT marketed as epic love sagas! Only Mausam and JTHJ have been in RECENT times.

As for Heroine, that was placed along with Mausam and JTHJin my OP because it fulfills the category of raising expectations and falling flat.

Wow comparing SOS, which had limited screens and wasnt even playing everywhere in the states and other countries😉😆 The other movie was played everywhere where an indisn movie typically plays, and SOS despite all this is doing well.

and now some people here are saying that 5 crore dont matter but when i its anothers stars movie even 1 crore is made an issue hyprocritical much. anyways its a waste arguing over this..bottom line the movie by many critics like it or not said the movie had loop holes etc.. Which is clearly stated in the reviews.

salman films are logical and entertaining LMAO 🤣 yeah right and I am the queen of England.

And I can't believe someone here said ETT script was fantastic. It had NO SCRIPT. The movie was a so called thriller but everyone knew before watching the movie that katrina was a pakistani spy(which was the only suspense in the movie) because it was written in the synopsis at cinemas LMAO. ETT lacked logic because salman interfered and destroyed it, the ending was so logical a dwarf like salman can clearly jump 4 meters from a motorcycle to an airplane 🤪now that's called logic dwarf jumping 4 meters

And Salman Khan fans needs to stop point fingers at others. Everyone can decide which trade expert they want to be believe and who not to believe.

Did they forget during ETT release they were so confident that it will beat 3I and when it didn't beat ETT record then they said ETT was near beating 3I but truth was it wasn't Because ETT domestic was around 150 and that was the most hyped movie of this year with huge promotions and big marketing and was masala genre but didn't even come near 3 idiots business😛

On the other hand we have JTHJ which is a romantic movie and has done so well even though it's a romantic movie, it's yashji's most successful movie at the BO.

Yes I was, but for your kind information I was only happy that it got best movie because that award goes to kabir so was happy for him and was happy kat got best actress because loved her action scenes. Don't give a damn about salman and I am not the only one, even katrina and kabir didn't give a damn about salman, they did ignore him and made fun of him😛
