Lately, there's been so many young actors and actresses praising her to the skies. While at first look it seems genuine, this is a telltale sign of a dwindling star. It's akin to the lifetime achievement award they hand out in awards ceremony. Every recipient's (except maybe SRK) career was over.

It's not just the praising that does it - it's the irregular openless of the praises. Once in a while you might get competitors praising each other - but reluctantly, not openly. On Koffee with Karan when actresses gets asked who they would date, they usually go for a safe married guy who isn't that popular in the mainstream. Since the younger guys are proclaiming their crushes on her, it just goes to show that she's a safe bet and they know media won't make anything of it. On the other hand if they had named deepika, Parineeti, Sonam, Llena Dcruz, Nargis, Diana Penty, Sonakshi, Alia Bhaat - you just know media would jump on it because it's a hot link-up. So Kareena isn't even an option in linking up which is a shame because public interest might dwindle...she has now become a safe option, there'll be no rumour no hype around her unless of course she goes out of her way to reinvent herself.

What do you think? Is it a sign of her decline or the beginning of the best phase of her career?

We started compiling all the celebs who praise Kareena in a topic, which in hindsight, was a good idea, coz we can just add onto the list and have a record.

The first post in that topic was in 2010. A member went out and compiled the earlier celebs and their views on Kareena.

Yup. I think so. Every single actor says Madhuri/sridevi is my first crush!! So maybe Kareena has also joined the ranks.😆When Madhuri,Sridevi,Ash went into oblivion after marriage,I can happen to Kareena too. But I do hope that not the case.

I'm not sure what the praises mean..but, I'm a bit surprised how every other young actor loves Kareena. She's a good actress, yes..but it's not like she's the only good actress, nor is she the only pretty actress around. I remember when I was watching Koffee with Karan and Ranveer seemed to really like Kareena but then Karan would further exaggerate his likening towards her by saying oh I love Kareena too etc etc..which in return not only got Ranveer all hyped up about her but made Anushka go on to say something like I could act better than anyone else around here but Kareena. It's as if it's the latest trend is to say oh I love Kareena (amongst the newer actors/actresses)..because there are actresses who are as good as her if not better, not to mention pretty too.

Apart from that, actresses have a short numero uno shelf life in bollywood. It's the bitter truth..and regardless of people claiming that she's their favorite or they have a crush on her etc, Kareena's time will be over soon like Priyanka, Vidya etc..and the likes of Anushka, Deepika, etc etc are likely to take over soon I'd say.

Desigal, while the list might be impressive, isn't it compilled over a span of time? Almost every actor/actresses have had seen admiration.

It does seem like a trend to pick kareena. it's not only safe but in tune with what the other "cool kids" are saying.

I find it odd that despite all the industry wallahs singing her chants, she doesn't have the projects to reflect the general consensus. Her upcoming films aren't in any means bad but they are nothing compare to Katrina's, Deepika, or Anushka's upcoming films and Kareena is the one who is praised. Kind of sounds counter-intuitive doesn't it?

I was watching some of the Student of the Year interviews..and I felt as if Karan was promoting Kareena rather than Alia in so many of the interviews. 😆 He'd constantly say "she's my new Kareena..Kareena's my sister, now Alia's my daughter.." and I personally felt that just made Alia think of herself more as a Kareena as it got drilled in her head..and she only continued to mention how she loves Kareena in every single interview. In one interview, the interviewer asked the cast who would make the hottest teacher out of the current actresses..and Varun said Katrina for him..while Siddharth said Kareena along with Alia..and Alia just looked at Siddharth and gave him a thumbs up with a huge smile on her face, because he said Kareena too. 😆 It's as if taking Kareena's name is the way to go nowadays.
