Pakistan experience
In this day and age when on one hand, Indo-Pak governments are loudly claiming that they are trying to mend the fences, the fact is that not many Indian artistes are getting the visa to Pakistan. But, Pt Bhatt, who was one of the chosen few along with actor Naseeruddin Shah to attend the Tehzeeb festival in Pakistan, says: "It was a great experience. Wahan bhi log achi mausiqui ke mureed hain! And it was really gratifying to see Ustad Rais Khan saab, one of the greatest exponents of sitar, sitting in the front row and enjoying my music."

Serenading North East
Pt Bhatt admits that when he was going to Pakistan, his family and friends cautioned him against it, fearing for his safety. Interestingly, similar sentiments were echoed when he went to perform in the strife-ridden North Eastern states recently. "My well-wishers were worried that it would not be safe to go to places like Imphal, Nagaland and Kohima, but I was thrilled to bits when I was adored by the music lovers there. Naga music maestro Theja Meru invited 36 outstanding bands, and I was the only musician representing Indian classical music. Now I will go there every year on musical pilgrimage!"

offtopic, but seriously? He called KKHH idiotic? 😕 For sure, when I look back at the film, I do find flaws within the story and some parts do come across as cheesy...but that was one film of Karan's where he put his honest effort in. It had an innocence with I can never see Karan Johar ever repeating..sure it had stars but the film has its own charm..compare that to whatever else he has made, KKHH is definitely not idiotic in my eyes.. Karan's a weirdo for sure..he tends to leave people when they're not in demand, even if they used to be his bestest of friends once upon a time..not to mention how he even goes on to degrade stuff he was once associated with for no apparent reason. Having said that, not too sure how Kareena could really depend on him if ever needed to. Rani & him used to be bffs as far as I remember, particularly she was climbing her ladder of success & reached the top..once she fell, they sort of separated..or rather, he separated himself from her.
