SRK is prone to be subjective regardless of the work he does so I don't see anything wrong with discussing about him. He was written off long time back but yet he is still pretty much there in Indian cinema

To save taxes and take katrina in the film he sets his story in London.

The guy plays a lovable tramp in london for a scene just so that Jimmy Shergill can sing his sufi song made especially for the Punjab territories..The lyrics dont describe Samar or his outook at all.. is he challa in the film?

They have a firang heroine in sexy dresses..but for a scene she wears Indian wear and Harshdeep Kaur sings soulfully Heer Heer🤣..The janta will buy that?

The girl runs bare feet(such burning passion😲) across London and gently lays her head on the heroes shoulder and smiles at the perfect angle)..No panting saansein there LOL..she doesnt even look at him!

Srk is tight lipped through out as though he is stealing himself..Can you feel his love for the girl?!

And I agree that the picturisation seems commercially oriented rather than integral to the script.

Jimmy Shergill is the actor from Yahaan and Saheb, Biwi aur Gangster, who's also done roles in Munnabhai MBBS, Tanu weds Manu and so on.

Rabbi Shergill is a singer whose self-titled album was brilliant. He sings Punjabi and Urdu songs, and his songs are remarkable for being semi-Sufi, semi-rock, bringing together Western musical elements with very philosophical and/or political poetry from Urdu and Punjabi.

Having said that I'm waiting for another Swades or CDI. He has to do flicks like those which shows another side of his acting

KKHH was my fav film along with DDLJ...from my childhood...
But the same thing overdone as you said kills that essence...
I hope the part with Anushka in JTHJ has something fresh in store!!
