Sadly, I noticed the same thing but I don't think it's all his fault. In this case SRK looks as if he's trying to drum up romance alongside a dining room table. To be fair I don't blame him but I DO blame Bollywood's penchant for casting any female who is seen as "hot" rather than one who is suited to the role (since women ARE no more than interchangeable objects created solely to inspire a wank according to Hindi film logic 🤢)
These two barely look as if they are aware of one another in the same scene and one can see, literally SEE, the wheels turning as each inserts cut and paste romantic looks to the degree that it requires a supreme suspension of disbelief to be unaware of the director and crew, just outside the frame, orchestrating each "spontaneous" passionate gesture.
Deepika Padukone had more romantic connection with her digitally inserted co-stars in Dhoom Taana from OSO!!!
Kat & SRK are just waaay too dissimilar in type, appearance and...hell...I don't know what you'd call it...essence maybe, to be a convincing couple. Meryl streep or Tilda Swinton (if you simply MUST have a tall white chick go for the gold standard whydoncha ) could have acted their way around the tiny issue of complete incompatibility with a leading man, Kat, bless her, cannot.
And of COURSE this is based upon the videos of the songs since this is all we've seen. Maybe the film will be better but I've said that before <cough> Ra.One <cough> and maybe the songs will grow on me given a few replays.
I'd hoped this would rekindle some of my old SRK love but so far the chainsmoking raisin's romantic swan song strikes me as an uninspiring fizzle at a time when he needs much more than that.
Here's hoping for better things ahead for this film.
