"I never get into people's personal life" – KJo on Ranbir-Deepika relationship

Are they back together? Or are they not? Ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone started working together again, there has been buzz in the air around their reunion. While both have gone on record to state that they are each other's best friend today, the man who is least perturbed is Karan Johar who is betting his money on the pair.
"When everyone had lost hopes of Ranbir and Deepika being seen as an on-screen pair, it was only Karan Johar who had the courage, and shall I add clout, to bring them together. It was considered really impossible once because their split was much publicised. Still, he went ahead and not just convinced them to be together but also made sure that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani turned out to be a lavish film. The last thing he worried about was about the perception this 'jodi' may have amongst audience", says a source close to the filmmaker.
However it is apparent that everything has eventually turned out in his favour, what with Ranbir and Deepika said to be bonding in a big way. Though it is a 'good friends' stance which is currently being maintained, there is high anticipation of the turn that this relationship may take six months down the line when the film is ready for release.
"Frankly, I never get into people's personal life and hence it doesn't really matter that what is their personal equation. Whether or not they are in relationship won't impact the film's fortunes", says Karan.

Extending his line of thought, he adds, "Younger generation of actors are thorough professionals and regardless of how they are with each other off the sets, they don't go about changing their dates or upsetting schedules. Of course it has been wonderful working with Ranbir and Deepika but so has been the case with my other younger actors as well like Imran Khan, Sonam Kapoor or for that matter the trio of Student Of The Year. I am glad to be surrounded by an energetic bunch of newcomers who maintain a professional decorum in my films."
