I am still catching up on all the gossip threads on this forum!

I don't know how I didn't stumble on this before!!

I feel the Sid Mallya-Deepika-Vijay Mallya, Yash Chopra-Rani-Adi Chopra, AB sr-Ash-AB jr rumors are quite creepy!!!!

Ummm...sr mallya is known to sleep with all the kingfisher models...deepika got her first break as one..and sid mallya and dp is no secret

In one of the sting operations shakti kapoor had told the reporter"tumhein kya lagta hai rani pz chopra ke saath nahin soye" apparently a criteria for yash chopras casting is to see how good the woman is on the couch...and rani-adi are dating...thus! rani was with govinda/vivek oberoi/shaad ali/ab jr before...shaad and vivek at the same time during saathiya shooting!

There are several things I never get about "the casting couch" (and why is it called the casting couch? why not "the casting bed?" it would make more sense) is what makes these directors keep their end of the deal?

If someone is sleazy enough to require sex to cast someone in a role, then I'm sure they could also easily say "well, too bad, better luck next time" after they get what they want. Why in the world do they keep their promise and really cast these females in the role they promised to?

And how many girls who never made it big were told "too bad" after the fact I wonder?

I also don't get how sexual satisfaction is superior than good acting and a successful film for a filmmaker? Don't these directors ever get bored with sleeping with every single female actress under their wing?

Why isn't the whole of Bollywood dying of HIV/Aids?

All these questions make me wonder if "the casting couch" phenomenon has been far too exaggerated. Is it absolutely necessary for every single female to sleep around to get roles? What about the "ice queens" who got roles for decades without sleeping around? What makes them different? Is it really necessary to succumb to these director's ridiculous requirements to be cast?

And if everyone fools around with everyone, what about the actors and actresses who ended up married? How did they accept each other like that, knowing all they know? (I know many actresses end up marrying overseas for that reason).
