I just came to read this thread as I like emraan, and not looked at it, as was engrossed in other topics. Wow so many personal attacks. You know people do have right to voice their opinions and not be belittled or name called. With every movie you will have pos and neg views. good to take criticism with stride.

adding more to the dicussion on "single screen audiences"...ofcourse they would reject certain multiplex films...someone on the other thread mentioned ZNMD as an example of "intelligent cinema"...ROFL on tht but whtever...

single screens obviously rejected ZNMD because they couldnt connect with the emotions shown in the film...A labourer who works for 100 rupees/ hour wage couldnt care less abt three over-privilidged men-pretending-to-be-boys going on an expensive bachleor trip to spain and worrying abt high school problems. They dunt connect to those emotions or problems because they have been bought up in a society alien to the one shown in the film. A society where tomatoes are meant to be eaten and are too expensive to be thrown at each other for fun.

A single screen guy unlike the so called "thinking" multiplex audience is not bought up on a staple diet of ukranian, festival films or hollywood films to have the so called "class"...they are bought up on films like sholay, deewar, Agneepath, Hum etc. So that is wht defines entertainment for them. They obviously wouldnt have an appetite for the so called "complex intelligent art cinema"...tht isnt a reflection on their thinking, or their brains in any way...just a reflection tht they have been exposed to different things compared to us, and thus have a different appetite.

Belittling them for their "class" shows none of that so called "class".

^Their reviews don't usually show up till Friday. Atleast Masand and Anupama for sure because their reviews first air on their TV shows on Friday night before being avaliable online. But they've all tweeted about the movie being good, so I'm expecting good ratings from them.

I am so stoked for this film!...it's got to be the most critically appreciated film since Kahaani. Next friday/weekend come fast! I am so taking my dad to the theater for this movie! I know he's going to love this movie!

This year has been SO much better than last year content wise... There is still some hope for BW in terms of content. *contended sigh* Now I'm just praying the audience accepts this movie and makes it a HIT, SUPERHIT, and more!
