C'mon people. At this rate we might as well post ROFLCOPTERS and LOLCATS and pretend we had a discussion. 😆

I've noticed this forum has a lot of content without context in making arguments.
Just because the two topics include father/daughter does not mean that they are comparable. The topic on hand here is if Vidya's father is right in being proud of what Vidya did. The plausible arguments are either the movie showed exemplary acting skills and any parent would be proud or the movie was too sexual for our cultural preferences and no parent would like that, or opinions in similar context.
The topics about Suhana that you cited are completely different. They are not even remotely close to the context of discussion we have here. That issue is moot and invalid in context of this discussion here.
RTH...whatever the thing is ... i never start an argument...in the suhana i just posted my comment and didn't quote anyone...if someone's feelings got hurt they can actually talk to me in that topic but bringing that thing in another topic is so lame just to bring an argument for nothing. the thing started by a member -omkara- he brought that thing and this -ksh- followed that thing on me...sorry folks everyone can see who was riled up and who wasn't ... its a shame tht u have to bring another topic to keep ur argument valid. 🥱
and @RTH : the way suhana is being talked around here...i can make the same issue how these members make fun of ash's weight which is so lame...she is also a mother and any mother can put on weight but the thing that you just go on and on proves ur maturity level, have i ever asked anyone how much injustice they do, first they should look upon themselves and talk abt others.if u want to argue...then argue with a little logic

i didn't argue with her.😕..you can see😛...**Edited: Personal remark** and has been following my posts since two three days, coz may be either nobody cares abt her posts,😛 or yet her bacchan hating posts are not intriguing any more😛...i never asked anything abt any matter..how come she brings up something and questioining me...who gives her this right...she should stop throwing trash on bacchans first and shows if she is really clean in that sort. 😛
Let me get this straight. I have seen this misconception among quite a few members over here. They think that their opinion can't and shouldn't be questioned. Well you all are wrong, every member has equal rights and that includes the right to question whatever another member post over here.
Replying to questions will involve arguments, but frame your arguments based on logic only.
This is applicable not just to you but for all.
@RTH: Leaving aside vulgarity...every father could be proud of his child's achievements...whether the situation maybe the first word she spoke or a winning a spelling competition or winning the national award for acting. The issue is pulling down a child because she is related to a celebrity one hates. This unfortunately happens time and again in this forum by certain members. So what was that member's issue with this child? Because she didnt like her father's film or a statement in the media. How much is the child related to all that? Then the very same member use the very same arguments about father's love for his child when it comes to their favorite actors.
Any parent would be proud of their child. But if we go on that there would be no discussion. Giving an extreme example – proud for being a po*n star or proud for being a terrorist are discussions that would warrant discussions or raised eyebrows.
If in a given topic a member is making rude comments or irrelevant point for no good reason except the fact that they hate the star – then refute those points in that topic with points relevant to that topic.
If in a given topic a member is praising and agreeing for no good reason except for the fact that they love the star – then refute those points in that topic with points relevant to that topic.
Arguments should be relevant to the topic on hand and built on reason and factual points. Arguments cannot be built on "opinions" of members in "other topics". Such arguments are built on hearsay, irrelevant and moot. The same goes when members argue back based on "opinions" and "assumptions" on "behaviors" rather than relevant issues.

yeah but bringing something from another topic...how justified is that Souro...u can see the topic is heading to a closure, and it wouldn't have if the argument from presummably another thread had not been started...i know what i am talking abt
I think you havent read the other posts in this thread and you are also new here. So let me explain. The issue here is hypocrisy where something is ok as long as your favorite star is doing it but things take a turn when another not so favorite star doing it. So its ok for Vidya's father to go gaga over his daughter but when it comes to SRK's daughter she belongs to a different breed, she needs fairness creams and other bigoted remarks.PS: Coming to off topic posts perhaps as the mod you need to look into these off-topic threads which are right on page 1 at this moment:
So you think something is not justified, what is the easiest way to resolve it? You tell her that it's not justified for so and so reasons. Calling her a couple of names is not going to resolve it, on the contrary you're also being unjustified then.
