I think you havent read the other posts in this thread and you are also new here. So let me explain. The issue here is hypocrisy where something is ok as long as your favorite star is doing it but things take a turn when another not so favorite star doing it. So its ok for Vidya's father to go gaga over his daughter but when it comes to SRK's daughter she belongs to a different breed, she needs fairness creams and other bigoted remarks.

I've noticed this forum has a lot of content without context in making arguments.

Just because the two topics include father/daughter does not mean that they are comparable. The topic on hand here is if Vidya's father is right in being proud of what Vidya did. The plausible arguments are either the movie showed exemplary acting skills and any parent would be proud or the movie was too sexual for our cultural preferences and no parent would like that, or opinions in similar context.

The topics about Suhana that you cited are completely different. They are not even remotely close to the context of discussion we have here. That issue is moot and invalid in context of this discussion here.

But it is not just you, it is ridiculous, any discussion that seems to go on, no matter what side, opponents always seem to dig up past statements/topics/comments and make inductive leaps of comparison. He said this last week, she said this in that topic. In order for comments to be comparative or hypocritical they shouldn't just be broadly similar in content like father/daughter but actually similar in context as to the specific points being brought up and discussed on hand. If we are to have a constructive discussion, everyone engaging in that discussion should forget hearsay of the past and focus specifically on the points on hand and debate the points being made. Digging up old posts is just a cycling through moot references.
