Actress Vidya Balan's father says he was quite impressed with his daughter's performance in The Dirty Picture (TDP) and felt that she is a born actress.
"I sent her the message on 26 Nov, 2011, 'bold and beautiful, fantastic, you are a born actress. A new actress will be born again on 2 Dec 2011. An actor par excellence. I am proud of you. I did not find anything vulgar in TDP." Vidya's father P.R Balan told reporters at an event.
Released last year, TDP was an unofficial biopic of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha and in the film Vidya played the role. Both critics and viewers liked it.
Balan said he knew the film will be a super hit.
"Gracefully directed by Milan Luthria, it will definitely be a super hit and I am an astrologist now. Second half is yet to be seen and I am sure it will be better than the first. God bless you my child. You are really bold and beautiful," he said.
