Have you seen "When Harry Met Sally". The infamous deli scene. Meg Ryan faked it for hours for that scene. That's called acting.

When movie stars show affection, attraction, sexual interest, romantic interest in a movie – they are not actually feeling that towards the person – they are "acting". Why single out the love scenes – Do people picture their loved ones dead when they cry over a loved one in the movie? Do people who play rapists or murderers in movies actually have to imagine being sadistic beasts to do a role – that's just twisted? It is all acting. It is not real. The actor is merely portraying a character in a script.

^^^But comapring Meg Ryan to Shruti Hasan? About death scenes I remember a decade ago when Mihir died in Kyunki Saas Tulsi's acting when she finds out about his death was appreciated. When asked she said she imagined her husband had passed away and acted accordingly. Anyway thats a one off case.
But I wonder why dont they just keep it more realistic on posters like this? They have an ugly guy acting macho and a pretty woman all turned on by him.

It's subjective what you call as ugly may not be so for others. It's a part of their profession. Not a big deal for actors i guess.

I wasn't comparing Meg Ryan to Shruti. The example was to illustrate that these posters, clips etc are just acting. It is what they are expected to do. Different actors use different techniques. Some can actually cry, laugh, orgasm on command – some need to imagine emotions – some method actors try to become the character.

I don't get what is unrealistic about the posters. If they are a couple, they are expected to be intimate. Just because someone maybe unattractive to me, does not mean someone else cannot find them attractive. In relationships there always is something that turns a person on about the other person, irrespective of how they look. C'mon people still find significant others sexy even if they have a jiggly beer belly or become saggy with age.

It's acting. You will have to do the nastiest thing ever for its sake. If you can't, you get out. Plain and simple.

So what exactly are we wondering about? The facial hair? Do I need to point out some of the other actors in Bollywood and tellywood with facial hair?

Attractiveness? Dhanush is a good-looking guy. Fine many may not agree, but there are those who do find him good looking. I've said it before, it's just that he's very skinny. But he has great features.

stubble is hot! there shouldnt be a problem with it rubbing on your face, not for me atleast LOL!
but thats nothing! they take their clothes off in front of everyone, like the latest hate story in which there is even boob grabbing involved! so well may be it is acting to the core.

I know, acting is really hard. You have to romance people onscreen that your not even attracted too.
