This film had everything going for it. If it was a good film, it could EASILY have done well.

How could Sriram go SO VERY WRONG?

Sriram Raghavan, the maestro of thrillers, 2 previous films, both epic.

Harshest critics were his fans.

How did he go SO wrong?
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that Saif's attempt to make AV more commercial backfired. Sriram cannot do commercial cinema, and shouldnt have to. He should stick to what he does best, edgy small budget films.

In an effort to make the film more commercial, you end up disappointing the Raghavan fans, critics, and alienate the public coz the film ends up being a jumbled mess.

I don't see how a love story can save their on screen pairing. From the first fil til the last one, there was ZERO on screen chemistry between them. Opting against a love story was a wise decision, opting for a action flick, fully knowing ur action capabilities are limited, and ur stiff. not so much.

Oh please, to say that SAIF wasnt up to par, is completely inaccurate.

Saif Ali Khan pulls off the suave and sophisticated secret agent with panache. He has good screen presence and looks confident and convincing.

All in all it is a Saif Ali Khan film. A male hero finally surfaces to give Vidya Balan, the current real hero, a run for her money.

Whatever the fate of the film, proud of Saif.

After playing a straightforward simpleton in AARAKSHAN, Saif returns as a spy in AGENT VINOD. But the spy in this film is not remotely comparable to the British superspy. Saif has a distinct style of dialogue delivery that gels well with the character here. Saif is effectual and charming all through. It's a flawless performance and it's an absolute delight watching Saif get into the groove so magnificently.

If it flops.. i think it would be really be the end of sriram??? Saif is a nawaab he will survive.. and he has other biggies.. bebo is bebo.. but what about sriram.. one person who never got his due.. EHT, Johnyy gaddarr.. two great moviess.. these flops are much better than many hits.. and now AV.. this guy is just unlucky.
