We already have an article on this:
Take a chill-pill, Boney!

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor is apparently losing sleep over the fact that his son's debut film will clash with one that stars Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan

Aakanksha Naval-Shetye

Boney Kapoor is super-excited these days. We can't blame the filmmaker, after all, beta Arjun is all set to make his debut with Ishaqzaade this year, (he was earlier set to debut with Virus Diwan). But in all the positive excitement, daddy dearest is also a tad bit worried about his boy's film apparently releasing alongside the Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Department. Not that Boney is losing any sleep over his bachcha taking on the biggies — after all, he's in the safe hands of producer uncle Yash Chopra — but being a dad, he can't help but worry, right? So, buzz is that Boney has been keeping fingers crossed, praying that his son gets a clean release, not like a censor board clean, but a week that won't have any other film release. Even though, sources say that all of Boney's friends in the industry have been rather confident about Arjun making an impactful debut, the filmmaker is not unaware of how tables turn here. "Boney himself is very confident about Aditya Chopra's production and his own son, but he can't help but worry too," says a source. Now, considering that the Chopras are not the kind to entertain any interference, apparently, Kapoor Sr has sent out feelers to Dutt, since he is said to be quite fond of the Kapoor kid. Now, the gadbad is that Dutt himself is not too keen on asking Ram Gopal Varma or Bachchan to touch the dates; but he doesn't want Boney to worry either. The last we heard, all involved were busy praying that both films do well at the BO. After all, who doesn't want a hit here, right guys?

Things always change. The superstars of today are old news tomorrow.

Salman, the biggest superstar of today, was playing second fiddle to the superstar of then in Jeet.

Akshay, today one of the highest paid actors, was playing second fiddle to Abhishek and Bobby in HMBPKH and ATHWS .

Actors today are much smarter, you won't see a Ranbir or an Imran playing second fiddle to anyone, be it the Khans. They want the lions share and they have success to back themselves up.

As for whose time will change, most definetly AK. His best is yet to come with 3 guaranteed blockbusters : Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore and OUATIM 2.
Abhishek has some promising projects as well. God knows he needs it after a string of disasters. Dostana 2 and Dhoom 3 are guaranteed hits while Bol Bachchan might not make it.
Ajay Devgan will come back to earth with flops like Rascals and Tezz.
Saif doesn't have anything promising in his kitty either.

@you2 so true.
Also, no star wants to retire even when they have so much money. A good examole is AB sr who has been in the hospital time to time, and health is always an issue. At his age, most try to take things slow or have retired, he's still out their shaking a leg. Hes even taken to twitter tweeting daily updates on what is going on in his household 😆😆 when, the bacchans were no longer brand ambassdors they boycoted IIfa, and also tweeted that his dIL is pregenant. And now this whole mystery behind Beti B's name, etc . Just to stay in the limelight.
Plus, many stars edge to be number 1 and are not happy just acting and making money

i guess Ameesha and Kareena
They both debuted in the same year where Ameesha was giving back to back hits like KNPH,Gadar,Humraaz Kareena's movie were flopping one after another but now look how tables have turned .Today Kareena is a superstar where as Ameesha only known for talking shit or sleeping with gay uncle womanizers and tau like Sanju .

as far as the status is considered this industry is so vicious once u achieve fame and stardom the media the people never let u forget it.yahaan par sab chadte suraj ko salaam thokte hain .Once the adulation fame starts fading the industry itself makes u restless even if u try to succumb to the changing times people wont let u forget what u were and what u are .So the stars always fame and power hungry .Their hunger is like a never ending cycle there is no end to it .u either become oblivion or constant denial .its very difficult to accept that their shining days are gone .

Salman is another example of how things change. When Salman was killing people and black bucks people thought he was over. His many flops also seemed to seal his fate. Now he is the biggest star in BW.

It cant be the underworld. Almost everyone used to have underworld connections. It was all smart image management by the Khan family.

I once read this interview of Rakesh Roshan where he said how the tide has turned in his favour after Hrithik debuted in films.

Apparently the Roshans have been good friends with Jeetendra and family for years. However, the Kapoor family were still in the limelight and doing great so they were always photographed in parties or events while the Roshan's were literally shunted aside. HE said something to the effect that some photographers asked the Roshan;s to step aside so that they could take pics of the K family.

Even when Rakesh Roshan made Karan Arjun (pathetic but super successful) he wasn;t really the hottest producer in town until he produced KNPH..

As they say the rest is history,

From OSO to Ra-one for SRK...

Farah embraced Akshay and KJo went for Hrithik since then. Did Don 2 have anything to do with his self publicized PC gate, I wonder!

From King of mindless comedy to desperate for a hit, Akshay

He reigned as the king in the genre of mindless comedies till recently..the formula doesn't seem to working for him any more. Stories of his breakup with wifey are an indication of his desperation!

From Kites to Agneepath for Hrithik

People had practically written him off after the disaster called Kites... even he tried the trick of extra marital affair PR while promotiong it... white ants became synonymous with marriage trouble 😉 but then ZNMD happened followed quickly by the very successful remake Agnipath and he is back in the game ...

Arbaaz Khan from flop actor to hit producer

From playing small sidey roles in insignificant movie he was all over the various film awards recieving trophies for his film and he seemed so thrilled ...he is still waiting to work more wonders with his Dabangg 2

Deepika ...from Shantipriya to Potty pe baitha n**ga
She was the hailed as the next superstar actress... her dream debut had every one going gaga over her beauty and talent but over time people have downgraded her from an A+ rating to a B- , I think!!
