I usually don't pay attention to on-screen couples face sizes unless the female actor has a proportionally huge face compared to the actor. During close-up scenes, this becomes so distracting. All I can think about then is how huge the actress' face is.
I'm not talking about on-screen-chemistry, just visual appearance and being attractive to the eye.
I know directors can't choose their actors based on face size. But if on-screen couples are similar in height, than their face size will most likely be proportional too.
In the last scene of JWM when Kareena and Shahid are kissing and the camera is capturing them from the side, Kareena's face looks huge compared to Shahid's.
Salman has a smaller face than almost all of his heroines.
Shahrukh also has a rather small face that becomes even more apparent when acting opposite actresses like Deepika and Anushka who are taller and bigger in build.
Ranbir is no small guy and he's probably one of the few actors that Deepika can be teamed up with without appearing to have a huge face. But even then, she does!
