Ram Ganga teri maili was on TV a few days ago...reminded me of how bad Mandakini was as an actress. And I'm not a guy, nor do I bat for the other team...so I didn't enjoy her paani wala scene either 😆
The only film I liked of Kimi Katkar was Hum. I enjoyed dancing to Jumma Chumma as a kid haha!

Well, I've never found myself becoming attached to an actress...so don't really miss anyone. I enjoy and apreciate good performances, that's about it.

I miss Rani, Preity, Madhuri, Shilpa to name a few at the moment...but again missing their good performances and amazing screen presence...does not mean that they can make a comeback with item numbers or some horrendous character

Thanks to God...all the actresses that I missed are coming back to screen...karisma is doing dangerous ishq and can't wait for rani's upcoming movie with aamir

I know people always complain about preity doing the bubbly roles but I missed her doing those candy romantic roles...I hated when she attempted doing serious type of movies which flopped. I think that's what ruined her career and her botox also

Its the same for me too. Thats why I can live if they dont come back if they dont get the right roles.

Rani did get work post 2006 - Bhool Bhulaiyaa, The Namesake, some SLB film rumored to be titled Charulata among others. She stuck to her comfort zone of YRF, playing the same tear-shedding roles, and YRF also had the downfall post 2007, so audiences got bored of her, and then she stopped being noticed. She tried competing with the younger lot with her bubbly image but that bombed big time. But yea, even YRF/KJo didn't give her the best roles when she needed them badly, so it shows just how friendly the industry is. Well, profit is their motive so it's understandable.

@ topic: I miss Manisha's raw portrayal of broken characters...and Rani's charm during her prime sometimes. But other than that, none really. I watch their earlier movies if I need.

Ok...so she did have offers then. But she got stuck in her comfort zone and when things went bad offers from non-YRF production houses too.

I don't miss any actor as much as I miss the mood created by them in a role. Madhuri in HANK, Kajol in DDLJ and KKKG. Manisha in Khamoshi, Hema Malini in Seet aur Geeta ...you get the drift.

^^ That's an insightful remark. A lot of whether or not I enjoy the movie is influenced by my mood at the time of watching it - I suppose. For that reason, I think the most I have enjoyed movies has been during transatlantic flights when I have nothing better to do.
