awards never problem for srk he knows very well how to deal with the award distributers

eraser and mogli...missiffy left long time ago. I dont think she is addicted to this place like me lol. THat means she is never coming back for a long time. But it seems like a lot of ppl have left in a recent times...this forum needs something...to bring everyone back. I feel like its getting boring.

Bodygaurd was an eid release and Sallu had to get Katrina Kaif to do an item number to get a good opening. Maybe SRK should have gotten Katrina as well to do an item song in ra.one and it might have broken bodyguard's opening record.

This is probably the first & last time Kareena wins this award for Katrina is going to rule the screens pretty much for the next few years with the line up of movies she has. She will not only eat her comeptition alive she will also digest and probably spit them out like in Chikni Chameli.

😆 True, For me the box office queens were Vidya and Katrina even for 2011! Dunno why but i have totally lost interest in Bebo, she has become so clumsy and pakaoo. Its like she is waiting to get married and is sleepwalking through her movies. Bebo, Sonam and Imran are 3 celebs who look totally lost these days.

Point, I could put with Bebo's arrogance when she worked in good movies. But 2011 was truly the worst year for her. Infact I think she no longer cares. Have you seen the weight she has put on recently? Taking audience for granted is the 1st sign of failure for an actor.

Both Ra.One and Bodyguard took on HUGE openings, more than Ready and Don 2.

I think its about time that people admit that Kareena DOES add value to her films.

A Shahrukh & Kareena film will DEFINITELY get a bigger opening then Shahrukh & *insert XYZ*

People get excited at seeing A superstar and top actress paired together vs one superstar with random actress.

And someone had a point. If Kareena doesnt add anything, why do the Khans/producers even bother signing her up?

And thanks for mentioning Johar, coz he's been a very loyal director to Kareena.

KHNH went to her first.

He wanted her for Dostana but Abhishek was not comfortable workign with her, and since the two male leads were important, he had to compromise.

But since Dostana didnt work out, he roped her in for Kurbaan. (Both Kurbaan and Dostana were conceived at the same time. Saif was offered both films and asked to choose, and he opted for Kurbaan)

After that, he brought her together with Kajol in a very ambitious project (that went wrong, but that's another story)

More recently, he wanted to bring Hrithik and Kareena back togehter for Agneepath, but that didnt work out, so he launched Ek Main Aurr Ek Tu at the same time and roped her in with Imran.

So you can see, she's been a regular at Dharma.

3IDIOTS had a 5 day weekend, Christmas was on a weekday where this time Christmas was on a normal Sunday.
and 3 idiots has an universal apeal to every age group unlike DON2 which is for urban youths.

Regarding ra one, it was not a good product hence after an terrific opening, it crashed.

Ra one opened to 100% collections , so as 3IDIOTS and bodyguard etc...

the long run depends on the target audience and the product value not on face value. Face value and promotions and hype is relevant to star power.

If any member believes total collection of a movie = star power or face value, or some one believes longer run depends on star's crowd pull and not on content, she/he has no senses and worth not arguing.
SRK's promotion and hype worked so well with his star value, hence they got earth shattering first week where every movie bugger watched that. But when movie was failed to get the second time viewers, thats why it crashed after the heavy first week and remained as a HIT thanks to maga opening.

SRK should have gotten Kajol to play his wife in Ra.one and should have made Katrina do chamak challo and i bet it would have been a much bigger hit. MNIK was sucha a dumb movie and it had a big budget but it worked coz of SRKAJOL.

3 Idiots released on Christmas and had an extended weekend. Don 2 had no extended weekend because Christmas fell on a Sunday which is already a holiday. And Ready and Don 2 didn't release on any holiday like BG and Ra.One did. Holidays always make a difference. BG also had an item number by the item number specialist Katrina Kaif 😛There's plenty of differences between Ra.One and Don 2.
