😆 True, For me the box office queens were Vidya and Katrina even for 2011! Dunno why but i have totally lost interest in Bebo, she has become so clumsy and pakaoo. Its like she is waiting to get married and is sleepwalking through her movies. Bebo, Sonam and Imran are 3 celebs who look totally lost these days.

3 Idiots released on Christmas and had an extended weekend. Don 2 had no extended weekend because Christmas fell on a Sunday which is already a holiday. There's plenty of differences between Ra.One and Don 2.

Promotions. Don 2 has to be amongst the least promoted films of the year despite having such an A-list cast and crew.

Don 2 had NO hit song unlike Ra.One to attract the audience and has just 1 song in the actual film...which does make a difference.

Overdose of SRK...

^All of these contribute to the hype geenrated for a movie which results in openings.

Bodygaurd was an eid release and Sallu had to get Katrina Kaif to do an item number to get a good opening. Maybe SRK should have gotten Katrina as well to do an item song in ra.one and it might have broken bodyguard's opening record.

Ra.one was promoted for MONTHS, they got Akon to do chamak challo, but still the end result was what... a FLOP? Of course ra.one had to gross more than Don2 , coz it had a bigger budget and it got better publicity, these days its not about content its more about publicity. Despite all the hype behind ra.one, Don 2 emerged as a bigger HIT. DON 2 even did better business in overseas. And SRK didn't promote Don 2 at all in comparison to ra.one but still Don 2 is a bigger hit than ra.one.

Kajol would never have done it though 😆 She actually cares about her role and not so much how much money the film makes 😆 Heck if she said no to 3 Idiots because she thought there wasn't much scope in the role then there's no way she would have done Ra.One...SRK or not 😆
