Actress Reemma Sen, was seething at the Malamaal Weekly music launch party on Saturday evening.
Riteish Deshmukh and Reemma Sen
Why? A Chennai court has issued summons against her for allegedly obscene pictures of her published in a regional newspaper.
I will respond to it
Retorts the actress, "I haven't received the summons.
When I do, I shall respond to it. I am not apprehensive, because I have never worn anything obscene. I don't give a damn for some Tom Dick or Harry from Timbuctoo, who suddenly wakes up and decides that I have posed for indecent pictures. I am really curious to know what this person found objectionable. Throughout my career, I have always stayed away from controversies. And I don't find this thing funny at all."
Acting with Riteish
In Malamaal, the actress plays a village girl, who Riteish's character is madly in love with. After the fiasco Wah Wah Ramji, Malamaal will be a comeback of sorts for her."Although I have been acting in South movies, I never quit Bollywood," says the actress.
"It's just that I was not getting the right kind of lead roles. Recently, I even did a guest appearance in Aan, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar."
Adds Reemma, "This time, it's a central role laced with romance, dance and comedy in Malamaal.
Rajpal Yadav, whose defiant rustic character is totally besotted with me, is the kebab-mein-haddi between Riteish and me. Director Priyan fondly kept nagging me to keep hogging, so that I would put on some weight to fit into the role of a village girl."
Having acted in this film, which centres around the weekly lottery scheme in villages, does Reemma believe in buying lottery tickets for instant big money off-screen? "Lottery schemes are a welcome boon for the common man. On a personal level, I don't like to gamble, but prefer hard-earned money," she signs off.
