The makers of Desi Boyz were expecting a U/A certificate since it's a big-budget film with Akshay, John, Chitrangda and Deepika. They feel that the film is made for a family audience and getting an 'A' certificate could cause them a lot of trouble. Akshay and John play male strippers in the film and that could have been a reason for board's decision.

In contrast, the makers of The Dirty Picture were very anxious about the Censor Board's decision as the Censors have been sent a notice by the AP High Court to decide whether the film should be released. ^ They should have allowed them to cut the scenes. Anyhow, its gonna create more curosity amongst the youth especially Teens. Does it mean they have to be accompanied by an adult age 18 like abroad? Well I am going with my buddies who all are over 18.. and relatives going and just told them on this rating and they like okay.. lol They huge Akshay supporters as he Punjabi and won't miss a single movie lol

censore board are bias for sure...they are okay with some stars throwing their middle finger and having steamy scenes with kissings But Of course they are not okay with akki and john dancing in a club...they are so bias
