Ramu may not re-make Sholay!

Ramu's version of Ramesh Sippy's Sholay may not be made. Ramu is hell bent on casting Amitji for the role of Gabbar. He just can't imagine anyone else in the role.

The problem that the film is facing is Amitji's health. His health does not permit him to stress his body. So the two films on the floor as of now for Mr. Bachchan are Ravi Chopra's Babul and Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida…. If at all Amitji gives the dates the shoot will not commence before April – May.

The entire pre production is on hold.The entire plan may be re worked to make it viable for Amitji to work. If he does not do the film the film may not be made at all. For now the casting is also put on hold. Basanti is yet to be finalized. Ramu has decided that he'd wait till Amitji returns to his film.
