Sahara One's Shyamlee (Snigdha Akolkar of Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan) fame recently went on a promotional trip to Nagpur.
Apart from meeting up with fans and getting reactions on the show, Snigdha was also loaded with gifts from people wherever she went.
"I went to a sari shop where they refused to take money from me and gifted me with lots of saris. The same happened in a jewellery shop where I tried on some accessories. They kept giving me stuff that I could wear on the show."
Befriending a monkey
Recalling a funny incident that happened at Ramtek where she incurred the wrath of a female monkey she said, "I accidentally stepped on the tail of a baby monkey. It wasn't hurt, but the mother didn't take quite like me doing that. So she rushed towards me angrily, but I had a narrow escape."
Snigdha was also excited about visiting the centre point of India. "The epicentre of India lies in Nagpur, and it feels different knowing you are standing exactly in the centre of the country."
