Again this poster suggests that the makers know how to market the film..

The Exhibitors of single screens will gleefully put this poster on billboards..

Looking good looking good...Box office wise!

I have small worries for this movie...

I mean I'm sure it'll do at least pretty well at the BO

but I'm finding its publicity way too gimmicky.. first of all, not really digging the fact that they're trying to use Akon, Stand By Me, Lady Gaga, to garner attention.. firangiyon se sab kaam nahin kar sakte.What's wrong with good old desi singers =/ and good old original, desi composers =/

also.. why the heck does Lady Gaga need to be at the premier.. what's she done for the movie? Why HER? because she's getting less popular in America or something?

I'm mainly against all this fake crossover business. Akon and LG and allathem aren't even in the movie...

not too excited. I'd have been thrilled for this movie with just the given trailers, because the story looks cute.

but I just keep getting signals from SRK that he thinks that success is sure shot if some international people put their fingerprints all over the movie...

I like the Sci-fi touch, it's definitely unique, and I can already tell that it aint a brainless masala caper... but I think they should've left all the bright light obsession at home

There's a very simple reason for this.

And that is, the budget of this film is around 150 crores.

He NEEDS to promote it if he's gonna recover that cost. Its the most expensive film in the history of hindi cinema by far.

Which is why Shahrukh needs to pull up his socks and go all out with this one.

And that includes generating hype by incorporating Akon, Lady Gaga, getting Priyanka and Sanjay to do cameos in the film, starting a video blog where he explains everything about the promos, launching Ra.One merchandise.

the media says its a certain budget.. so SRK has to work arond the media's information?

that isn't how it works, is it... he invested 150 crores, and thus, the media speculates. which would mean he planned all these international celebs and such tactics beforehand..?

No no i meant ht ebudget IS 150 crores.

Not the media is speculating.

I added that sentence earlier coz there were so many reports about how its hte most expensive film ever but it came out wrong, lol

But yeah the budget is 150 crores.

And yeah, all these tactics were definitely planned before hand. I think there was an interview where Shahrukh mentioned that he was fully aware that he was taking a huge financial risk.

And that there is a chance the movie would flop.

But I can see he's going all out to ensure that doesnt happen.

Even if its the best movie ever, word of mouth will not do here. You need to pull out all the tricks and get the crowds to the theaters any way you can

Obviously its a moment from the movie. Since both shah and kareena are wearing what they wore in the song chammak challo. I'm assuming this happens AFTER the song.

Not so stupid if you think of it that way 😉
