Ram Gopal Verma had Riya Sen do an item number for his ill-fated James. He's now signed her sis, Raima for… hold your horses… a lead role in his next, Shock. | |||

Some went to Goa, others preferred to spend time at home, Pallkhi's Abhay Vakil went on a 12-day jaunt to US with his friends and family. Abhay visited Indianapolis and New York for a white Christmas with his folks.
"One of the most memorable parts of my trip was visiting the World Trade Centre. That place does something to you. The missing twin towers and the pin-drop silence is eerie."
On a lighter note, the actor didn't go to Times Square as expected, on New Year's Eve. "The crowd in Times Square is something like we would see at our Gateway of India. There are more tourists than Americans that night. So, I had a small private party with some friends. It was good catching up with friends I'd lost touch with for years," says Vakil struggling with a chronic backache problem.
"It's something I have to deal with for the rest of my life. But I do try to rest in between shots whenever possible."
Trained by women Boxing everybody:
Sohail Khan
Remember the actor Abhishek Kapoor, his claim to fame was being Twinkle Khanna's beau in an age gone by.
And he even did a film with her — now he is turning director with Aryan. The film releases next month, and it is all about boxing. Just like Sohail's Fight Club.
Sohail is acting in this one, too. To make the action scenes authentic, the debutant director flew down Australian boxing trainers to train Sohail Khan and Inder Kumar. So what's new about that? The trainers were women!
Dosti — Friends Forever Mere humdum, mere dost: Kamya Punjabi and Kavita Kaushik
There are friends and then there are acquaintances. However Kamya Punjabi and Kavita Kaushik's dosti definitely falls in the first bracket. Kaash... Govinda
The two are not only seen together at parties and events, but also vouch for each other when something is written in the press about them. Recently we caught the two friends shopping at a mall.
"There's no doubt that Kamya is my best friend. I share everything with her, and so does she. We like to keep it real, and be there for each other." Kamya too chipped in, "I love Kavita. She's not only great fun, but also a genuine person. That's a rare combination these days." Here's hoping and wishing their dosti definitely lasts forever.
The blame game
Postmortems always happen when films flop. The critics, the audiences and even the filmmakers and the cast of the film indulges in it, so you can't really blame Shikhar director John Matthan for indulging in a bit of retrospection.
He is thinking about what could've been. He now feels that the film has become too 'serious' because of Ajay Devgan.
He had originally planned for Govinda in that role. But after working with him in an ad film, he changed his mind. Chi Chi lost another role because he couldn't report on the sets in time. Irrespective of the film's fate at the BO, the loss is still Govinda's.
Tara moves on, gracefully No more tears, no more fears: Tara Sharma
Tara Sharma and Akshaye Khanna are officially over. The very-private couple never spoke about their relationship, so don't expect any denials from them either. With all the big weddings happening in Bollywood, we'd forgotten that break-ups are as common as hook-ups.
The reason apparently is that Akshaye wasn't too keen to dash to the altar like Fardeen and Zayed, and a girl can only wait that long!
Anyway, the couple seems to have survived the grieving period too. A glowing Tara graced the Aksar bash two days ago and there were no telltale signs! Or does the credit for that go to her new yoga trip?
Raza's Bollywood
