BOI: BodyGuard 55+ and Aarakshan 20 Cr Weekend

Q. What will be the opening weekends of Aarakshan and Bodyguard?

A. Bodyguard is hard to predict as its a five day weekend and depends on what sort of release it has on Wednesday as there will films running and its unlikely they will agree to be taken or have shows reduced midweek while some circuits don't allow full early release. Also there is no doubt the opening is going to be huge, so bigger the number, the more reports of the film affect. If it was a normal Friday release, it can be said the Friday would be at least 16 cr nett and from there you can go 55 plus if reports good or 45 crore if not upto the mark. Now its about how big the Wednesday release is and then next four days dependent on public reports. The five day weekend will be huge benefit if the public likes the film and then the sky is the limit. Aarakshan seems to be looking at around 18-20 cr nett. Aarakshan is also involved in apolitical controversy so it remains to be seen how this affects it and whether it gets a clean all India release on Friday.
