She didn't say "until the audience promises" because how can the audience promise? but yes u are right she talked about why she and salman haven't worked together for a long time, she said she is waiting for the right script to come, which will show their pairing in a good way because the movies they did before together didn't do justice to their pairing according to kat.
Audience opinion matters a lot too her, the most important thing for her is the script she believes if the script isnt entertaining then even her role being female oriented won't make the movie work. She signs a movie on the basis of will she sit in cinema and watch this movie and find it interesting. Thats how she chooses her films, everyone do films according to different things and for kat the most important thing is her audience not the critics.
