ok...u misunderstood things..take them to the other way and if someone talks in a similar tone u tend to get offended why? ask this question urself and then answer.

so u opened this blog so tht a shitty film like this after so many years...could get some sympathy...but people (not audience) who have a taste certainly not going with it...at all

YOu think its shitty, I think its genius.
So who's right and who's wrong?
And what, we cant post blogs about films that you dont like? Who made these rules? Find me the rules that say I cant post htis blog. Go on, find em.

What went wrong?

Over indulgence by the director and the main cast.
Style over substance.

NO. Critical acclaim is reviews by critics.
Hence CRITICAL acclaim.

what i noticed on wiki:

The indian critics, with the exception of raja sen who gave it a 3/5, panned this film...but it recieved better reviews from the international media.

U.S. critics were favorable. Rachel Saltz of The New York Times wrote, "The giddy camera work and busy visual effects would be exhausting if their excess didn't fit so well with the movie's tongue-in-cheek tone".[29] Frank Lovece of Film Journal International found it "crowded with dizzying visuals, dry humor, cartoonishy violent set-pieces that play like Indian spaghetti Westerns, and gorgeously shot musical numbers.[30] Maitland McDonagh of TV Guide described the film as "a delirious crime romp [that] borrows pop-savvy attitude from Quentin Tarantino, stylized gun play from Sergio Leone and stylized hand-to-hand combat moves from Hong Kong action films. The result is a nutty, ridiculously entertaining neo-noir pastiche with lavish musical numbers."[31]

I guess filmigirl is right...it appeals only to people who like OTT masala AND also relate to the tarantino-eque pop culture filmmaking/screenplay style.

I'm a big Tarantino fan, must have seen Kill bill and Pulp Fiction a zillion times.

And I absoluted hated tashan. so I dont think that generalisation is correct.

Its one thing to do do crazy movie like Tarantino but another to do a crazy movie without a script. Tashan's screenplay was so diconnected, it was all over the place.

And it didnt help that the star cast got carroed away with the over indulgence and lost the plot.

FOR the last time, could u stop shoving ur opinion down others throats...no one is forcing u to like the film...but a little bit of respect towards members would be nice...implying that we have no taste (oh please teach me how to have good taste??) or presuming that the topic was posted for sympathy (oh really!! 90% of the members critisised the film on this topic, so it definately aint getting any sympathy)...STOP TARGETING MEMBERS...period...
